Listen

Listen carefully to the objection. Make sure that you don’t interrupt the prospect. Think carefully about what they are saying before you respond. Thank them for their candour and for the opportunity to address the objection. The point here is twofold: first, you want to demonstrate to prospect that you are concerned and second, you want to be able to fully understand the nature of the objection so you can deal with it and move the sales process forward.

Explore

Make sure that you actually do have a complete grasp of the nature of the objection. Ask further questions if necessary. Ask for clarification. You want to make sure that you are dealing with the full nature of the objection and that there are not further objections hiding underneath the one that is being stated.

Respond and Resolve

Once you’ve listened to and fully explored the objection, it’s time to respond to what you’ve heard. Think about what factor is causing the objection and then respond. Keep your response short and to the point. Make sure to propose a clear resolution to the problem in your response. Do not go on and on, repeating information that you’ve already presented. This will only serve to alienate the prospect. You know what their position is, now is the time to quickly solve the problem.

A Special Note on Money

Every salesperson has heard a prospect say that they can’t afford the product or service in question. Money is a tricky objection to deal with, since on its face it appears to be airtight. The prospect doesn’t have the money to meet your asking price, so your choices appear to be lower your price or walk away. Neither of these would be the correct action. You see, money, when used as an objection, very often is running interference for other hidden objections. If you can uncover and deal with these objections then it is likely that the money objection will disappear and you will be able to close the sale. Therefore, resist the temptation to validate your price. Instead, ask the prospect what they would do in regard to your product or service if price were no object. Very often, the answer to this hypothetical question will give you a clue as to what the real objections actually are. In addition, no matter what those hidden objections may be, resist the temptation to lower your price in order to close the sale. Once you do, the prospect will undervalue everything you do and, even if you close the sale, will expect discounts on everything you provide to them in the future.

1) Set yourself up on Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, and two local job boards. Here is the concept behind Monster and the other job hunting boards: They attract job hunters so there is a large pool of people looking for work. Employers pay the owners of the job board a fee to search the pool for employees. Your goal is for an employer to see your resume, contact you for an interview, and hire you!

Employers also post jobs on the boards and you can apply for these individually using the resumes that you can post on the site. We will discuss this in more detail later. At this stage, you want to get your resume up so it can be searched by the employers.

CareerBuilder is okay too, but they seem to be more interested in selling you stuff like upgrades (which are a waste of money in my opinion) and advertising from their partners. However, CareerBuilder seems to be more "all source." They are connected to many local job boards. So, I suggest that you sign up for both and take the time to set up your profile on both boards.

These seem to be the two major boards. I worked for a company that searched dozens of job boards and aggregated the information into their own system for review, but everyone gets the information from these boards so you want to at least be registered on Monster and CareerBuilder.

You want to review your own resume against job postings that employers place on the boards to insure you're using the keywords employers are using to attract employees. Then, you want to go to Google and type in "Jobs in (your city)". Check out whatever Google returns in the first two spots in the natural search listing (that is the first two listings after the paid, or sponsored, results). These would be the most relevant websites to your search. Maybe they are the classified ads for a local newspaper or some other independent job board. It may be advantageous to register with them too. The registration process should be similar to what you've already experienced on Monster and CB so it should be a relatively simple exercise.

Now you have the job boards working for you 24/7. This is a passive method, but it can be effective.

What’s important to understand is that you’ll want to use PLR with an e-cover when possible. The reason for this is that it’s easy for your buyer to visualize the value they’re getting when there is a 3-D image. This means that if you don’t have one for the component or product, you’ll want to create one using Photoshop or some other sales graphics creation software.

Another important consideration is that you will want to make sure that your bonus is closely related to the product you’re promoting. There are some buyers who make the purchase solely on the basis of your bonus. As a result, you want to make sure that the buyer is interested in the general subject matter of the product. A relevant bonus helps you in both respects.

Since this is a bonus and not the actual product, it is ethical to have the buyer opt-in to get the content. This is especially helpful if the buyers aren’t coming from your email marketing list and from paid traffic or social media. Use PLR to Create a Membership Site

One of the ways you can leverage PLR is by using it to create a stream of income that is recurring. This means that you’re creating what is typically called a “membership site.”

There are three uses for PLR in your membership. First, you want to make sure that when your customers “walk in the doors” of your membership that they see everything they need to succeed. On one hand, this will mean that you have the content that you promised in your sales letter. On the other hand, it means that you’ll have reference content and tools that will help them get the most of your content. You can purchase that reference content as PLR and have it in your membership.

The second use for PLR in your membership is to provide unannounced bonuses to your members. Unannounced bonuses allow you to reward your members and make it “painful” to cancel their subscription. Of course, the most important use of PLR is to provide membership content, or in other words, to do what you promised in your sales letter. If you are an expert in the topic area, but don’t have time to create the content, you’ll use your PLR for the membership.

If you are not an expert in the topic area, you’ll use PLR to help you with what would be hard for you to create. A membership’s content can be a regular video, e-mail and/or an e-book. You’ll want to use the graphics to add professionalism to the look of your membership area as well as what you give to the customer in your membership.

Bear in mind that the average membership site’s tenure is 3.5 months. That means that you should be providing some kind of extra bump on a regular basis. You can and should use PLR to “upgrade” your membership (this is different from the unannounced bonus).
