The unconscious mind is a very powerful tool. 33. Want Versus Need

Christmas is the most universally recognized holiday transcending language, culture and even religious beliefs. It is a time when people come together in acknowledgement, gratitude, forgiveness and love for one another showing good will and generosity to all. To be at our best, exhibiting the spirit of Christmas during the festive season we need to do some work on ourselves during the year to ensure we exhibit the positive powerful joyful spirit of Christmas wherever we go.

So what’s the best way to light up the spirit of Christmas? The number one most important way is to ensure your attitude (which comes from your thoughts) is in step with what the spirit of Christmas stands for. Below are 8 great principals and if you work on them you will ensure your attitude is at its best not only during the festive season but over-flowing throughout the year.

But first there are a number of areas that we need to be aware of including body language. Many experts tell us that non verbal cues are more important than verbal communications. Yes this may be a surprise to many but non-verbal communication or your body language is your major communication tool and not what comes out of your mouth. The non verbal often contradicts what we say in words.

The body doesn’t lie even when words do! Body language includes gestures, voice tonality, pitch, pace, hand and eye movements and much more it all contributes to a deeper understanding of your real thoughts and feelings. However rather than just learning how to try and control your body language (which will be almost impossible for most people), it is far better to learn how to be congruent. This way you will be thinking, feeling and meaning what you say and not masking good cheer during the Christmas festive season when deep inside you may be angry, in emotional pain or confused, unhappy or feeling unfulfilled.

So how do we do it you say? Well a great way is to incorporate some rituals into your life that will support you to focus on and bring out the best in you Rituals that help to get to the core of your feelings, by acknowledging and addressing them. When you are feeling on top of the world everyone else around you will be too. You will leave the spirit of Christmas where ever you go!

Yesterday I promised to tell you how to grab your first time web site visitors by the neck, by capturing their email addresses and get them back to your website over and over again...

... and here's how...

You can use a pop-up window to give away free tips (or offer a sample) from your Ebook.

When you offer your visitors something for free, you can collect their name and email addresses, and later follow up on them, if they decide not to buy.

This way you'll build an opt'in list, and this list will be the MOST valuable tool in your marketing toolbox.

Pop-up windows may be found annoying by many surfers, but they really work.

I get around 20 new people a day signing up for my 4 Day Ebook Email course...

Well, there's the proof

However...

Many people have become "blind" to pop-ups.

Most of us don't even bother to check what's inside a pop-up when we visit a web site.

The same thing happened to banner ads, remember?

Another problem with pop-ups is that the majority of them are now filtered, though there are some that cannot be blocked.

"Is there any other way?"

What is a Vendor Party? It is a fair or expo where homebased business owners or distributors pay to present their business and products or services to others. Some have time slots, some don't. Some have games and prizes. In most cases these are not free-for-alls and follow some sense of order. Here are some guidelines to make the Online Event a pleasure for everyone.

Sign in with your name only unless you are a paid vendor for that particular fair. If you are a paid vendor for that fair then put your company initials after your name

When you come into the chat room, say hello and then wait to see what's happening.

Be attentive. Do not come in and then go and do something else where you aren't paying attention to what's going on. There's nothing worse for a vendor to feel like she's talking to herself.

Don't just start talking. A vendor might be in the middle of a presentation. The host will will welcome you and tell you what's going on. (She may PM {private message} you to tell you this)

All of us think our products are the best, but you can't PM a guest or another vendor and say that your products or offers are better. You wouldn't want someone to steal the person you were talking to in a presentation so you can't do it to others.

If you are not a paid vendor you CAN NOT mention your business unless specifically asked to by the host. Sometimes in a lull they will ask everyone present to post their URLs.

However history remembers Joel Comm’s ambitious blend of reality TV and internet marketing, there’s no doubt that The Next Internet Millionaire (TNIM) is a production on a scale that most home business owners can only dream about.

Joel Comm, as the host of TNIM, sets challenges for the contestants and then, at the conclusion, decides who isn’t going to make it to the next episode. The overall winner will receive the opportunity to work on a joint venture with Joel which will likely result in millionaire status.

The obvious comparison for this show is The Apprentice hosted by Alan Sugar in the UK and Donald Trump in the US. Team challenges are made and the losing team is interviewed to decide who should be eliminated (read ‘fired’).

Some additional twists are added with the opportunity for one member to obtain “immunity” status by winning a particular challenge. Poker-style E-Commerce chips are also dispensed for members to use in purchasing additional help with their challenges.

The majority of the show is given over to contestant interviews and ‘fly on the wall’ views of the challenges in progress. The consequence is that nothing of significant educational value is offered and all that remains is the fun of watching the contestants pitted against each other.

This alone would be fine, except that friction, in the first episode at least, is virtually non-existent. Most of the fun from The Apprentice centres on the cut-throat competition between the contestants, but Joel Comm has managed to gather together a group of pleasant, friendly people that, for the most, are falling over each other to be kind and supportive of one another.

The interviews focus on one or two inflammatory comments, but they’re insignificant and the creators of the show are clearly desperate for some action.

Many of the blogs on the Web have been set up specifically to keep families in touch. There’s nothing wrong with that. If you use a blog to put up pictures of your kids or show your aunts and uncles what happened on your last vacation, you’ll have a great family relationship.

But you won’t have much money from AdSense. Writing solely about your family might be very easy and a lot of fun but few people make much money out of it. After all, other people’s family’s are only interesting for a short space of time.

Unless you turn a blog about a family into a blog about a family issue.

So if you had a child who had a stammer for example, in addition to writing about what she had for dinner last night or the trip to the amusement park last weekend, you could make sure you included plenty of regular posts about her speech therapy and the latest advances in treatment for stammerers.

You’d get plenty of ads for speech therapists, get talked about by other people interested in stammering and pick up plenty of free traffic.

Or if your son was keen on soccer, you could make sure you talk about youth soccer leagues, give the latest news on the tournaments and describe what happens behind the scenes as kids dream about becoming professional soccer players.

The idea is always to expand the interest in your family blog beyond your immediate family. You do that by giving it a theme that will appear to more people than your favorite aunt and uncle.

If all the people who would want to read your blog can fit around your dinner table at Thanksgiving, you can forget about making any money from AdSense. You’ve got to find some aspect of your family to expand the circle.

Nlp – The Basics Give Away Rights Ebook

The Milton model forms the other part of the basis of NLP, the yin to the yang of the Meta-model, if you like. Whereas the Meta-model drives toward eliminating the fuzzy vagueness of language, the Milton tries to eliminate the specifics of language to attempt to unveil the underlying subconscious levels (unconscious model) rather than the conscious (cognitive) model. The Milton model was named after Milton Erickson, the founding President of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis who is generally recognized as the originator of clinical hypnotherapy.

The Milton model is most often used to gain and build rapport. This is useful in many situations, whether they be casual social situations, meetings at work or in a sales type environment. In any of these situations you will have an advantage when you build rapport. To do this generalities are used instead of specifics and nouns are most often nominalized. This is another way of making your conversation as non-specific and non-threatening as possible.

If you are making conversation with someone and you ask about the previous weekend you would want to keep the conversation general and then try to steer them into defining the direction it takes. For example, if the person you are talking to says they were out with their friends, you might ask what friends they were with. Your end of the conversation would be more mirroring what they were saying to build the rapport and gain their confidence.

Application to Business In a business context the Milton model is very useful in public speaking. When one uses more generalities one has more rapport with a crowd. Think about the last speech you heard. Probably it was from a politician. If there was a press corps and the politician was taking questions, odds are very strong the answers were vague. This is classic Milton, where the politician can’t be too specific about ‘things’ because specifics might come back to haunt them. The same thing happens in many business meetings, especially board meetings and public meetings, such as annual stock holders meetings.

In more intimate settings individuals can match and mirror a client or colleague. You can try to match a person’s physical stance, their vocabulary, the tonal quality of their voice, and try to imagine what they might be thinking. If you are imitating them closely enough you will start to pick up on their general thought, at least minimally. As you are talking to the person you can lead them slowly and softly in the direction you wish to go, and if they are in true rapport they will go along with you. This is not to say that you are going down a path they would object to, but one that will benefit them. When in rapport the two of you will more likely see eye to eye.

How To Spot A Fraudulent Email

In my travels around the internet marketing forums, I noticed a lot of people were having problems with emails they were receiving from places like Paypal, EBay and various online banks.

The amount of phishing that's going on these days is almost incredible, what's worse is that so few people are actually aware of it, so I sat myself down and wrote an article in the hopes of helping a few more people avoid being scammed.

Have YOU been receiving suspicious looking emails from Paypal, telling you that your account is about to be closed or limited due to suspicious activities being registered by their staff?

It’s definitely a phishing scam where people are out to fool you into giving them your info. Looking at the code, or headers will usually reveal anonymous urls, especially numbered ones, or urls that are definitely not pointing to paypal.

The 3 Dead Giveaways:

A). The email isn’t addressed to you personally, but says "Dear customer". Paypal, and all other banks will always address you by name in their mails to you.

B). Ask around a bit, and you’ll hear of others who’ve had the exact same messages. This is because the phishing is going on in mass mailings to thousands of people at a time.

C). I don’t know about other email programs, but if you’re using Outlook Express, you can usually see the REAL website address by running your mouse over the one in the email. It`ll show up right at the bottom of your Outlook Express.

Another way to check is by checking the headers of the email. This is quite easy to do, although not many people seem to be aware of it. Read on for a quick step-by-step:

1. Open the email

I’ve shown a few different examples of fraudulent emails here

Next, click on File and then Properties

Now, click on Details

And Message Source

This will show you every single detail of the mail, all the HTML code, all the headers, where the mail originated and a whole lot more. Once you`ve checked all that, just close the source.

All in all this will probably take up 2 minutes of your time but can definitely save you thousands of pounds, dollars or whichever currency you use, so make it a habit to "deep-check" any suspicious mails that you’re unsure of.

Should you EVER receive anything like this, please deep-check and report to the main websites. Never click the links in the mails. Open a new browser window and TYPE IN the web-address, making sure you include https:// so that you get to their secure pages.

Don’t let them scam you!

Getting Started With Google Adsense Give Away Rights Ebook

Do you remember in the beginning of this course when I said that Adsense wants you to be successful with their program? Well it's true! They have provided you with most of the tools you will need to make your Adsense business a success.

Tools like reports that you can use to track the performance of your ads. You will find all of the stats from your campaigns under the reports tab inside your Adsense account. There you will be able to learn things like the total number of clicks and impressions for all of your ad units\blocks. You will also be able to view your effective CPM (cost per thousand impressions).

Let me take a minute to clarify CTR's and CPM's for you. The CTR (click through rate) for Adsense is the total number of clicks that you receive for your ad units\blocks. It's broken down by individual ad units. The number of clicks is then divided by the total number impressions for that unit to return your CTR. The higher your CTR's the more revenue for you.

The CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) effective CPM is calculated by dividing your earnings by the total number of page impressions that you receive, and then multiplying the final figure by 1000. Be careful not to confuse your effective CPM with your earnings. Effective CPM is generally used for testing various channels to find out which ones are performing the best. If you need to know more about CTR's and CPM's login to your account and check out the help files.

The reports can be displayed several different ways. You can view them by the day, week, month or since your last pay check. You can also search for a specific date range. You can customize the reports for advanced performance and tracking by setting up different channels for more in depth results. For instance you can set up channels to test one page against another, one ad format verses another, keywords, or even whole websites to see which one performs the best. There are so many options available with channels that we can't go into them all, but I'm sure you get the idea!

You can also download your reports in CSV format (comma separated values format) for better record keeping. Plus get your reports emailed to you automatically so you don't have to login. Adsense usually updates the stats every hour, so you can be pretty sure that you are getting up to date reports.
