FREE REPORT!

How often do you see those words as you surf the Internet looking for information? About a bazillion? Everybody seems to be offering a free report about almost any and every subject under the sun now days. The question is, why? Why should anybody go to all of the work, trouble and effort to produce a report that is not going to be sold but be given away for free?

Ah! You see the point in NOT to sell the free report and make a bushel basket full of money from the sales. The entire point of a „free report? is to give people the report in exchange for their names and email addresses. Not that the report isn?t valuable... sometimes a report is and sometimes it?s just a bunch of hooey, but the names and email addresses of those who download these free reports are much more valuable than the report will ever be...even the good ones.

There are exactly two kinds of people who live and work on the Internet. There are those who are marketing gurus and those who are not. The latter number far exceeds the number of the former.

There are a few very, very, VERY savvy marketing gurus out there who know how to put together a „free? report and market it so effectively that it takes on a life of its own and continues to produce the desired results (list building if you haven?t already guessed) for weeks, months or even years after the free report is released.
Free reports are used by many Internet marketers as incentives to encourage people to join a mailing list. That is so common that it has almost become ineffective. These free reports that are offered as incentives to join mailing lists probably contain as much useful information as the kind that are marketed by these marketing geniuses. They just aren?t as effective at producing the desired list building effect.

Let me give you an example:

Mike Filsaime’s “Death of Internet Marketing” is a prime one. “Death of Internet Marketing” was a free report that was launched with a lot of fanfare. Mr. Filsaime PAID $1 for every lead that was produced by his “Death of Internet Marketing”. Yes, that?s what I said...he PAID. Now, if you were an Internet marketer with a list and you received an offer to be paid one dollar for each time a member of your list downloaded a FREE report, wouldn?t you jump on the bandwagon? Of course you would...everybody would...heck, everybody DID!

Now Mike Filsaime has some pretty deep pockets to be sure...we don?t all have those kinds of resources but his strategy was absolutely brilliant. He already had a mailing list of over 300,000 and I wouldn?t even hazard a guess at the number of names and email addresses that are now on his list. Every marketer that had a list that was even remotely interested in the free report sent it out in their newsletters. Don?t even think about the numbers, it?s just too mind boggling.

Actually, Mike Filsaime?s “Death of Internet Marketing” free report contains some very good information. The scare tactics used weren?t very appealing but the information was good. It wasn?t world shaking and it wasn?t anything that was really new. It was a well put together report and it was very well written.
Here is another example:

Rich Schefren’s “Internet Business Manifesto” is another free report that was really well marketed. As a matter of fact, Rich actually marketed the daylights out of his Internet Business Manifesto” And, marketing genius that he is, he later released it in three segments. The last release was called, “Internet Business Manifesto: The Final Chapter”. How is THAT for marketing genius in action?

Rich Schefren?s “Internet Business Manifesto” free report is another example of how to market a free report to gain the maximum desired benefit from it. This report is also well written. It contains plenty of useful information for new Internet marketers, as well as, for some who are well seasoned but there really wasn?t any new, world shaking information in it. Still, it was very effective and the desired result was achieved. He built his list to astounding proportions.

The free report list building technique isn?t limited to Internet marketers. It spills over into brick and mortar marketing as well...or maybe that?s where it started. Who knows? The lines between Internet marketing and Brick and Mortar Marketing have become a bit blurred over the years.

If you don?t believe me, go in search of nothing but „free marketing reports? using your favorite search engine. You?ll find free reports about all kinds of products and services. You will find free reports about marketing beverages, sports, music, B2B marketing and dozens of others. The point of these free reports is the same. The idea is to give valuable (?) information to a potential customer in exchange of his name and address or email address for the purpose of future marketing of products and services to him.

Chapter 1: Boosting Your Customer Engagement Online

Small businesses will often rely on their website for consumers to find them, so this is your opportunity to make a good impression with potential leads or returning customers. Therefore, you want to make sure that site keeps your visitors engaged and interested.

There are few brands that aren’t aware of the importance of being engaging on the web, but smaller companies often don’t believe they have the resources or time to be updating their websites on a more continuous basis with fresh and new content.

So what many small businesses do is create a Facebook page and forgo the website. There is no question that Facebook and other social media outlets are an excellent place to begin but if you want to gain the trust of your customer you need a website – it really is that important, because it shows that you have a company that is established.

You want to make sure that your website experience will match your customer service experience. We live in a world that is increasingly mobile and so consumers expect the same shopping experience online as they would get in your store. Therefore, it is a good idea to offer a seamless customer experience such as providing in-depth details on your products/services, purchasing information, easy contact, and a way for customers to quickly reach you such as live chat.

You should also personalize your site in a way that works for your business. Enhance your customer experience by tailoring your site to their needs. Don’t use flashy gimmicks. Use big data analytics to learn what it is your customer is looking for when they arrive at your site and then create an experience that pleases them.
Make sure you are using social media as a tool to communicate and engage with your customers online. Social media’s role has changed a lot in the last few years. Not only is it a way to share and promote your content from your site, it can be an extension in your customer service – a quick and easy way for your customers to contact and connect with you. You can also reach your customers quickly and in a very cost effective way, that costs only pennies per customer.

Engaging your customers online is no longer a novelty – something you can think about offering. It is what consumers want and if you aren’t providing it, you need to expect that they will look elsewhere.

Chapter 2: Customer Engagement – Why it is Important?

Customer engagement focuses on you encouraging your customers to share and interact with your company staff. It encouraged them to share their experiences and in return, what you create from them is your brand. When you execute this well, you will develop a solid customer engagement strategy that will promote loyalty and growth.

Those companies that focus on customer engagement focus on value creation rather than on extracting revenue. These companies are well aware of how to engage their customers online. They know how to provide them with real value whether they offer an superior end to end experience for their customer, exceptional content on their website, the best possible customer support and service, what they are doing is making sure they deliver more than just your typical sell. Incorporating these customer engagement strategies can be healthy for your business.

Remember Happy Customers are the Life of Your Business Obsess over your customers! It’s necessary to success! It begins with the culture you establish for your company and making sure that your support team is at the frontlines to make sure your customers are happy and their needs are addressed. Your entire company from top to bottom needs to share that providing an amazing customer experience is necessary for the key to your company’s success.

Think about how your company model can service your customers in the best way possible. What is it your customers need from you and when do your customers need you. What hours should you be available? Do you offer a seamless process for your customers?

Your customer experience allows you to offer you a way to increase your customer satisfaction and loyalty, which in turn leads to them advocating for you. Your company grows because you have happy customers. Companies that miss this may stick around for awhile but they will eventually falter.

It is much more difficult to continue to build new customers than it is to keep your current customers engaged and happy, and wanting to return to buy more products from you. Companies that actually value their customers and work hard at engaging them are wise companies and they are far more likely to be here a decade or two from now.

Your customer is the lifeblood of your business and it is important to ensure that all of your employees treat the customer with the importance that they deserve. What an interesting and engaging relationship one can build with their employees.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Welcome to “Explode Your Monthly Income Through Monthly PLR Sites!”

In this E-book, you will discover important strategies on how to monetize Private Label Rights content through membership subscription.

Everyone knows that PLR sites are a highly lucrative business model. There are many people who are good at mass producing PLR content, but what about the END USER?
Not everyone is good at monetizing it. So many of them subscribes as a member to these membership sites but few actually have the knowledge to monetize them to the MAX!

In this E-book, we will take a closer look at PLR content that is available for the majority of membership sites out there.

We will explore how to make use of:

• E-books
• Sales letters
• Landing Pages (or Squeeze pages)
• Articles
• Thank you pages
• E-courses
• Blog Posts
• Blog Themes
• Videos and Audios

So without further ado, let’s jump into it right away!

Chapter 2: Why Monthly PLR?

Most of the time, people are afraid of monthly commitments, that is why they are afraid to join monthly PLR sites.

That is NOT the right way to think!

The advantages of joining a monthly PLR membership site are as follows:

• It can be a lot cheaper compared to buying from other sources because monthly subscriptions are usually a lot cheaper than one time purchases.

• You get consistent content every month!

• You get to monetize the LATEST, hottest, new niches! With new monthly content, you can be sure you will not be using OLD, outdated content.

• You get to create multiple streams of incomes when you really push yourselves to work hard every month.

• You get the privileges of exclusivity. Because monthly content are not easily available to the public, you do not compete with tons of other

Internet marketers (or niche marketers) that are recycling the SAME, overused content over and over again! The only people you are ‘competing’ against are the people who has membership access and there is usually a membership cap to a PLR membership site.

• You also get to enjoy first mover’s advantage! You will know exactly when the content will be released and you can start loading up the content on your sites as quickly as possible. After all, the early bird get’s the word, right?

Now that we are very clear why PLR memberships are one of the best investments one can make, we will have to choose the right membership site!

The next chapter will show you how to choose the ‘best’ one.

Chapter 3: How to Choose A Good Monthly PLR Site

Let’s be realistic here…

Not all PLR membership sites are created equally – some of their content is just BAD, while others are produced with premium quality!

Therefore, it is very important that you check out the credibility of the founders of the PLR site.

Make sure they have:

• A proven track record
• Are capable of producing EXCELLENT content (After all, content is king)
• Are backed by SOLID testimonials.

Once you know WHO to buy from, you must take a look at the list of content they are providing – whether they are suitable for your needs, whether it is too pricey, or whether you will be able to monetize it.

You have to be sure as well if the niches you are focusing on are targeted, generic or too competitive.

Here is a list of criteria that will assist you in your search:

• TOP Quality content – It is the most important criteria of them all! (If you want to check out the quality of past issues, you can do a search on Google to see if anyone published the content on their website – this is a useful way to gauge the quality of the site without investing in it).

Ebook Creation For Illiterate PLR Ebook

Prologue

Dear reader, I would not have believed it if I hadn't done it for myself. You can actually write an ebook without actually doing the writing. Because of an interesting legal twist, you can hire a writer, and then when the writer is finished, you own the complete copyright to the work. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost is!

But there's something else that's almost too good to be true: having an ebook written doesn't cost near what it costs to have a hard cover book written. It's actually pretty affordable for someone who plans to recoup their money with ebook sales.

One more almost-too-good-to-be-true fact: ebooks often sell for the same price that a traditional, hold-it-in-your-hand, book would sell for!

No writing, no problem!

Let me tell you a little about my story. As the Internet began taking over the world, dollar signs flashed almost constantly in the back of my mind. I did some research to see who was making money from this evolution. I ran across import companies, search engines, web-site-development/hosting companies, and auction sites. That was a year ago. Now, more than ever, the Internet is starting to define business. People are actually paying for and downloading songs for their listening pleasure. People are researching, planning, and booking entire vacations online. People who love information are inhaling the Internet. Information is everywhere.

Of course that presents a bit of a dilemma. Information overload. Part of the problem with researching the Internet is the information you glean during your surfing is highly if not completely unorganized. You do a Google search. You notice there are thousands of pages relevant to your search terms. So, you narrow your search by adding a word or two. Now you're down to several hundred pages. And you start clicking on them, one after the other.

On to the next problem of up-popping popups. Darn those things. By the time you close all the windows, you may have very well forgotten why you sat down at the computer in the first place.

Even on sites without pop ups, you really don't know what exactly you're going to get or whether or not the source is reliable. So, the Internet is like a feast with some of the options being spoiled. Yuck! But the buffet is intriguing, so most of us tend to return to try our luck again and again.

Anyway, all this got me to thinking, what about ebooks? Yeah, sure, you can read Charles Dickens on a computer, but I'm talking about ebooks that teach, in a nonfiction sort of way. If I could put a few good ebooks on the web, then maybe people who wanted to learn about a topic could read an entire book from a reputable source online.

So I tried it. And guess what? At first I didn't have much success. But I dusted myself off, studied, tried again, tried again, and tried again. Eventually, through trial and error mostly, I stumbled on a formula that worked!

This book was born well after all of that, but I think it's high time I share my experience. There's plenty of room on the Internet for everyone. Climb aboard!

Chapter 1 ----How to select a great topicHow to select a great topic----

It couldn't be easier to select a topic for an ebook. People are hungry for information, and people are looking to the Internet to feed their hunger. After you've read this chapter, you will feel confident enough to choose your own topic, or you can literally pull your ebook topic directly from this ebook and use it! How's that for a deal?

Observe wha

Observe what's going on around yout's going on around you

If you're smart enough to read this book, you're smart enough to look around you and determine what interests you and those around you. Think of what problems you've recently solved, and what kinds of problems others have had and solved. Any problem that has been solved in your world could easily be the subject of your next book. People love to read how other have solved a problem that they currently have.

So, brainstorm a list of problems in your life and in the lives of those around you. Your friend Bob lost his job? Your sister's child had chicken pox? How did they cope or find solutions? While you're at it, start another list of unsolved problems evident in your corner of the world. Write down problems you wish you had solved. Aha! These are subjects that people will really be interested in! How to lose the last ten pounds. The truth about UFOs. The straightest path to becoming a millionaire. From your personal corner, your step-granddaughter is pregnant at age 14? Your grocery bill is double what it used to be? Your roof leaks? These are problems waiting for ebook solutions!

These unsolved problems would also be great ebook topics. Remember, you don't have to know the solution, just the topic. You're going to get someone else to do the research and write the book for you. You will not actually be writing one word.

Spend a few minutes Googling

The Internet is a great way to find out what people are looking for at any given moment. You can search for almost anything. Google™ is a popular search engine you can use, or you can try any of the others like Yahoo!® or Mamma.com. Type in phrases like "top concerns of Americans," "best-selling nonfiction topics," or "popular how-to manuals." Common worries of 2005.

And while you're on the Internet...Internet...

Find out the most popular nonfiction books from the New York Times bestseller list, Amazon, and a Google search for ebooks. Your findings will tell you exactly what book subjects people are buying right now.

Try this. Go to www.amazon.com. From the tabbed menu running along the top of the Amazon home page, click "Top Sellers."

I did this one day in September 2005 and found a Harry Potter book, several other fiction books, and titles such as Natural cures "they" won't tell you about, How what you wear can change your life, How to profit from the demise of the dollar, and The official SAT study guide. I've paraphrased to some degree, but you get the idea.
Here's what I learned just from spending a few minutes on Amazon that day. People are reading good fiction from already-best selling authors (Da Vinci Code, the Harry Potter series, and others). Secondly, Amazon buyers, buying over the Internet, are interested in nonfiction topics such as improving their lives and making more money. For these books, just about any author will do, even virtual unknowns or people who went to prison for lying to the American public.

And that quick visit only confirmed that the straightest route to ebook profits is in the nonfiction ebook market. This is for a number of reasons. Fiction readers tend to like to curl up in a chair with an actual book. Some of them attend book clubs where the physical books are brought around someone's kitchen table with wine and cheese. Fiction readers tend to purchase from authors they're already familiar with. Fiction can be more difficult to write and deliver well. Also, many of the classics in fiction are available as free ebooks. A reader interested in fiction could just download those. So stick with nonfiction unless you're feeling particularly bold and experimental.

Introduction

One new asset you might have seen exploding onto the market is the NFT or Non-Fungible Token.

From music and art to everyday items like toilet paper, these digital assets are “selling like 17th Century exotic Dutch tulips,” say Forbes writers Robyn Conti and John Schmidt.

The question is: are they worth the money (or the hype)?

Some experts feel they are “a bubble poised to pop,” while others believe NFTs are going to change investing forever.

In this special report, we’ll take a close look at what NFTs are, how they can help your business and so much more.

Let’s begin!

NFTs Explained

What exactly is an NFT?

It’s a digital asset that represents some real-world object like music, art, in-game items, or videos. NFTs are bought and sold online, often with cryptocurrency, and are usually encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos.

NFTs are becoming well-known now, though they’ve been around since 2014, because they’re an increasingly popular way to buy and sell digital artwork.

Conti and Schmidt report that “a staggering $174 million has been spent on NFTs since November 2017.”

NFTs are usually either one of a kind, or one of a very limited run, so they have unique identifying codes. Arry Yu, chair of the Washington Technology Industry Association Cascadia Blockchain Council and managing editor of Yellow Umbrella Ventures says they “essentially … create digital scarcity.”
This contrasts with most digital creations, which are almost always practically infinite in supply.

So, cutting off the supply of a given asset should raise its value (assuming it’s actually in demand at that moment).

Many NFTs, especially nowadays, have been digital works that already exist in some form elsewhere (like securitized versions of digital artwork that’s already out on Instagram).

Why are people willing to spend so much money on something they could screenshot or download elsewhere?

“Because,” say Conti and Schmidt, “an NFT allows the buyer to own the original item.”

Also, since it has built-in authentication to serve as proof of ownership, collectors can amass an online collection. Some collectors even value “digital bragging rights” almost more than the item they’ve purchased.

People are starting to answer the question: how do we assign value to something that doesn’t exist? What is a digital object worth?

“While we were all waiting for virtual worlds to spring up,” says Joe Procopio, entrepreneur and founder of TeachingStartup.com and GetSpiffy.com, “Facebook was selling out of Oculus.

While we were laughing or wincing at the pop culture references in Ready Player One, Minecraft was letting its players build their own blocky starter-kit societies.

And while we were debating the ‘realness’ of Bitcoin as a currency, someone was paying 170,000 real dollars for a CryptoKitty.”

If you’re an entrepreneur, you can’t help but wonder about the method of calculation on that $170,000 digital cat’s valuation.

The value of that CryptoKitty was determined by the expectation that its value would increase over time. That same speculation “drove the great alt-coin rush of 2017, and some painful lessons resulted in a hardening of the rules of value for digital currency.”

Many have found that some of the “must-haves” for almost every type of token come down to scarcity, supply and demand, ability to transact, and tangible proof of ownership.

The digital coin is still only a virtual piece of money, and ownership is still only in the virtual sense. But thanks to the implicit rules in the blockchain (documented by smart contracts), virtual ownership became “real enough.”

What’s the difference between an NFT and cryptocurrency then?

NFT stands for Non-fungible token. A fungible asset, like physical money and cryptocurrencies, can be traded or exchanged one for another.

They’re also equal in value. One dollar is always equal to another dollar and one Bitcoin equals any other Bitcoin.

In fact, cryptocurrency’s fungibility makes it a trusted means of conducting transactions on the blockchain.

Building Influence With Free Membership Sites PLR Ebook

Why Build Free Membership Sites?

What?s not to like about a free membership site?

Internet marketers, email marketers, and Internet entrepreneurs of all stripes are quickly finding the many, many advantages to opening a free membership site for their customers and potential customers. Even savvy and well-established Internet marketers who have paid membership sites are jumping on the free membership site bandwagon because they can see the obvious advantages.

Paid membership sites are most usually limited to a specific number of members. This means that marketing is limited to that specific number. Limiting marketing possibilities is never a positive thing no mater what products or services are being promoted.

Of course, there are obvious reasons for limiting paid membership site memberships but the fact remains that a free membership site can be operated right along side a paid membership site and there is never any reason at all to limit the memberships available to a free site.

Three to six months is about the duration of a paid membership to most membership sites according to many paid membership site owners. Three to six months isn?t very long in terms of Internet marketing. Once a paid member drops his membership, the site owner must then replace him and that can get expensive.

On the other hand, membership cancellations at free membership sites are easily and cheaply replaced. Marketing to the members of a free membership website is absolutely unlimited. You can continue to market to free membership site members for as long as you want to. Free membership sites are easy to run and they cost almost nothing and yet the owner is supplied with an almost unlimited number of customers and potential customers to market all kinds of products and services to.

Let?s face it: Every Internet marketer must now have an opt-in mailing list in order to send bulk marketing emails. That?s the law that went into effect with the passage and implementation of the CAN SPAM act. There is nothing anybody can do about it. If you send bulk marketing emails without the express consent of the recipients, you are subject to very heavy fines and the very real possibility of having your Internet business closed down altogether.

So... why limit your mailing list to just a paid membership site? Why not build a free membership site and gain an unlimited number of names and email addresses to which you have the legal right to send marketing emails? There simply is not satisfactory reason for NOT having a free membership site...at least not one that I can see.

Free membership sites are easy to set up and easy to operate. Of course, there must be fresh and timely content but that?s a lot easier (not to mention cheaper) than constantly having to run PPC campaigns or paying for advertising in related E-zines to attract members to your opt-in list and thus gain their permission to market products and services to them.

We all know that visibility on the Internet is one of the basic keys to successful marketing. Getting visibility is one of the hardest tasks that most Internet marketers face from the inception of a marketing idea. All Internet marketers well understand the value of writing and marketing articles and E-Books, posting to blogs and forums that belong to others and doing PPC campaigns, as well as, exchanging links and paying for advertising in E-zines and newsletters.

With a free membership website, you can almost guarantee yourself, not only a long list of customers and potential customers but that others will be willing to pay YOU for advertisements on your free membership sites and advertisements in the newsletters that you send to your very impressively long list.

The shoe will be on the other foot, so to speak. Other marketers will be begging you to download and post articles and E-Books which they have written trying to gain that coveted Internet visibility.

Influence is another sought after and enviable facet of Internet marketing. When an Internet marketer gains influence over even a small group of consumers, they have a great deal influence among other Internet marketers, as well. When that pool of consumers is really large, a marketers influence with other marketers increases in direct proportion to the number of consumers that he has influence over.

With a free membership site, an Internet marketer gains access to an unlimited number of potential customers in his niche marketing area. By keeping his content fresh and timely he will gain influence over the purchases that the members of his free membership make and even when they make purchases and from whom. This is commonly known as „clout?.

Paid membership sites usually have limited memberships. If the membership isn?t limited by the marketer, it is limited by the number of people who are willing to pay an annual membership fee... and that number for any niche market IS a limited number.

On the other hand, a free membership site that allows interaction between the owner, as well as, with other members is affordable by everybody who might even be remotely interested in the products and services that the enterprising Internet marketer will be offering to his list.

The cost to members is a big fat zero and it just can?t get any cheaper than then. Those who might well want to join a paid membership site but either don?t think they can afford it or simply don?t want to spring for the membership fees will certainly be able to join a free membership site.

Many Internet marketers who have paid membership sites also have free membership sites. Often those free sites are made up on customers or potential customers who will eventually become members of the paid membership site so it becomes a win/win situation for all concerned.

The bottom line here is that there is simply no reason NOT to build a free membership website no matter what niche market you are in.

You will have the potential of building an extensive opt-in list and there simply is no other way that is as easy or as cost effective out there!

If you leave your current job to start working remotely, then make sure that you stay in touch with some of the former colleagues too. This will help you to still have those connections that you can utilize later if you need.

There are so many benefits that you will be able to enjoy when it comes to virtual networking, but it basically comes down to some of the relationships that you are able to form along the way. This guidebook will take a closer look at virtual networking to help you see how great this can be for you to utilize too. Let’s get started!

Chapter 1: It’s Who You Know

When it comes to virtual networking, you need to focus on the relationships that you want to form. It is all about who you know. There is a lot of give and take that comes within this kind of networking and you may need to focus on some different rules that you will need to follow along the way to make sure that you are able to do things properly online. But it is really about the relationships that you form.

The more people you know in the right places, the easier networking will be. You can call on those connections later on, and they will be able to call on you later on if they need to. With the shift of many workers going from in-person work to remote work, traditional ways of building up a network is going out the window. Because of this, the culture of many companies is changing as well and the individuals and leaders will need to find some of the best ways to communicate and maintain the relationships that they need along the way.

Proper communication is going to be important when it comes to making the right connections. Think about how you can communicate in a thorough and thoughtful manner. Learn how to do active listening, and show that you care. Finding ways in your business endeavors to gather virtually can make it easier for everyone to work on building up some of the networks that they would like along the way.

As you start to work through your new networking ideas, whether you are a remote worker or not, you will need to think about who you already know and how you can utilize some of those different connections along the way. Everyone already has some connections that they are able to utilize, whether they realize it or not. And the connections do not always need to eb the people that you know from work or in your own industry.

Think about the people you went to school with. Have you maintain some of those relationships over the years and can utilize them now to bring in more clients or more customers or to help with a job? Is there a professor who has some good connections that they could introduce you to along the way?

What about one of your friends? They may not be a professional connection, but many of the friends you have maintained through the years may also have some connections that you can utilize as well. Or even colleagues from some of the past jobs. You can even look to different family members and some of the people that they know to see if there are some valuable connections that will serve you well over the years.

Blogging in 21st Century: Introduction to Online Journaling

Blogging and social networking are inextricably linked in the sense that both contain certain features and certain properties of one another. Both are aimed at creating a wide movement as far as multimedia interaction is concerned. Though it is true that blogs can be regulated and kept very private, the main purpose of them is to reach out to a number of people, to have a medium to voice your opinion.

Another similarity is that both these concepts have existed in cyber space for almost a decade now, but in the initial stages both were rather exclusive of one another. Only in the recent times have they been merged, and their similarity in motives truly recognized.

Blogging is essentially done to channel your thoughts out on to an online journal. You also want other people to read what you have written.

This way, you go about coming in touch with people from all over the world who you would not have otherwise known. Similar is the function of social networking. It is a hub where the young and the hearty flock. The chances of getting an audience at such a platform are high.

The origination of the term ‘blog’ is interesting. It was initially called a ‘weblog’ meaning a log or a diary or a journal that helps you to record your thoughts on a day to day basis. In that sense it was rather in its primitive stages and did not turn into an instrument for propaganda immediately. This term was later shortened to blog and this is when free blogging services like Blogger became extremely popular.

As mentioned earlier, blogging today is not restricted to only maintaining a journal. It has truly become a platform where various kinds of people from all walks of life, whether they have the same ideologies or not, conflate, and discuss the matters they think are important to them.

Blogging in the twenty first century has come to become an important tool for advertising for people who wish to market their products online, for politicians who wish to sell their ideologies, and reach out, to the masses.

Moreover, creating a blog and maintaining it does not require a fortune. Everybody now has a personal blog and it is all free of cost. Also, one does not need to be a computer engineer or a graphic or web designer in order to embellish their blog.

Unlike a website which operates on a different domain, and for which every single template and tab needs to be designed and created from the scratch, blog sites do not need such knowledge. The blogging service providers have their own inbuilt templates and fonts which have to be chosen by the bloggers as per their own tastes and preferences.

Blogging is an ideal way to make new friends and come in contact with more people than you can do in the actual word, from all quarters of the world. Such diverse people will obviously have differing viewpoints. Therefore, this gives scope for a good deal of discussion and debate with all points of view being taken on board.
Blogs can also be for the sole purpose of making new friends and socializing. That is why social networking sites have picked up the clue and in these times social networking and blogging has, to some extent, been combined, and almost become indistinguishable.

It would be interesting to note that the word ‘blog’ is both a noun and a verb. This leads us to the fact that blogging in some sense also helps get rid of hassles of publishing. Though your work will not come out in print, you know that you can publish your work – your articles, pictures, videos, etc – yourself through you blog.
Therefore, it may be your own personal journal that you wish others to read or you works of art in terms of the stories or articles that you write, or the movies that you make. You can share almost any content with the world at large.

It must also be noted that just like you do not have to be a web designer to create your own blog, you need not be a professional writer, a film maker or a photographer to publish content on your blog. It is just a space for you to indulge in your own small artistic pursuits and share those moments with others. Blogging must therefore be exploited to its full potential.

How Can Online Blogging Be Profitable to Ordinary Individuals?

Ranking of any website depends on a few factors. It would basically depend on the relevance of the article according to the key words used; the number of times that page has been linked and viewed, etc.

These are quite easy to follow, and if these factors are carefully noted and looked into, the rankings of your website can increase considerably.

The first step is to get your website linked through various other pages. The more the pages are that contain your links, the better ranking they will receive. The second aspect to be kept in mind is how often you update the content on your website.

Frequently edited and updated sites receive higher ranking in search engines than those that have not been looked at by the owners for ages. Always editing the content of your website as a whole may not be an option.

In this case what you can do is add a Blog to your website. A Blog will function as nothing but a forum for people to come and discuss the themes that concern your website too.

It will create a platform, as well as become a journal whereby you can also post updates about your operations and your website. The advantage is that the content on such Blogs will not be restricted only to text, but pictures and videos can be posted too.
