I'm sure this is a big one most of you are wondering about, but the answer is not always that simple. It's really all going to depend on the client, their needs, and how much they can afford. I would suggest going with a flat rate upfront, and then charging ongoing monthly until they are satisfied. $3k-$5k upfront and maintenance of $500/mo are definitely within range (or more especially if the business is REALLY suffering from a bad rep). However, I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction or give you false hope or promises by making you think that you can get thousands of dollars per month, because that may not be the case.

You just need to do your research on the business you're targeting and come up with a figure you feel is fair (based on the amount of work you'll need to put in) to help boost their image. Every business has

its price, you'll just have to figure out what that price is. Just don't assume every client is going to empty their wallet for you. This is why it's important to do your research (Google it!), and then come up with a price you think your time is worth.

When the prospective client asks you how much you charge, then you tell him. If he accepts, great! If he rejects, you can negotiate (if you're willing to take a pay cut), or rebuttal (remind him what people are saying about his business and with your help, you should be able to help boost his revenues which would cover the costs of your services!) or politely decline (your time and results you're going to bring is too valuable for his low ball offer).

Sometimes though (especially if you're just staring out) you need to take something lower just to get your foot in the door, and as long as you're ok with what they're offering you, then go for it!

Remember, that once you're in, be sure to work hard to fulfill your promises and always over deliver! You want to impress the client so he'll trust you and be open to your upseli offers down the line! And he may also refer you to his friends! So that initial "pay cut" may not be so bad after all if you end up getting a few new clients and/or upsells in the near future!

Chapter 8: Dog Obedience Training

Obedience training is one of the most important and most effective things any owner can do for his or her dog. A properly obedience trained dog is a happy, productive and safe member of the family, while a untrained dog can be destructive and even dangerous.

Proper obedience training opens up important lines of communication between handler and dog. The basis of any obedience training program is to gain the cooperation and respect of the animal. This respect cannot be exerted through rough handling methods or mistreatment. It must instead be earned through leadership and proper training techniques.

Basic obedience training consists of teaching the dog what to do and what not to do. When it comes to desired behaviors, it is important for the dog to learn and respond to basic commands, such as heeling when walking, stopping on command, sitting when directed, coming when called and staying where the handler directs.

The list of what not to do is also important when it comes to obedience training. Some of the don’ts of obedience training include – not jumping up on people, not forging ahead when walking and, not chewing the furniture or your property, and not getting out of control when exposed to novel situations.

In essence, obedience training involves establishing the social hierarchy that is so important to dogs as pack animals. When your dog follows your obedience commands, such as – come, stay, sit, heel, etc., he or she is showing compliance and submissiveness. This is the same type of behavior a submissive member of a wild dog pack would show to the alpha dog in that pack.

As with any type of dog training, it is important that obedience training sessions be fun and rewarding for both dog and handler. A happy, healthy dog will be best able to learn, and keeping the dog happy during the training sessions will make life easier for both yourself and your dog. Obedience training has many benefits for the dog as well as the handler. For one thing, a well-trained, obedient dog can be permitted a larger amount of freedom than an untrained dog. In many cases you will develop your website on your local computer and then once you're happy with it will want to move it up to your host to make it "live" the Internet. How do you go about accomplishing that?

To move your web site to your host you will employ a program called an FTP program. If you don't have an FTP program yet I invite you to look at the "General Questions" section of this the book as I will give you a few hints on choosing an FTP program and provide some links to some excellent free ones.

OK let's assume that you have an FTP program and you have programs on your machine that you wish to transfer to your host. How'd you go about doing it?

First step is to make sure that you have all of the FTP account information for your host. Quite often if you have a CPanel the login information for your FTP will be the same but this can vary with different hosts so be sure to check with your hosting company to be sure. Once you have this information enter it into your FTP program most FTP programs will have a form of address book that you can keep the name and account for several hosts in one place. Some FTP programs will also let you keep the password stored.

On most FTP programs with a graphical user interface once the connection is made it will display the files from your own server (usually on the left hand side) and on the host server (on the right hand side).

Once you've logged into the host you will need to navigate to the directory that you wish to transfer the files. If this is your main web site you are transferring (or an installation of WordPress to use as your main web site) you likely want to go to their root of the site. Often when you login you will not be at the root of the site, in fact you'll be in a directory that's even at a lower level than the root.

To navigate to the root you will have to choose the correct directory on most hosts this directory is "public_html" but again this can vary with different hosts. Some hosts also place a link (i.e. a shortcut) that will be titled "HTML" or "www" that will link you to the correct directory. Determine what the directory is and navigate to it on the host side of your FTP connection.

On the client side navigate to the folder on your computer in which you have your web files stored. Once you have the target on the host side correct and the source on the client side correct it is just a matter of copying the files.

On many FTP programs this can be accomplished by highlighting all of the files on the client side and dragging them with your mouse to the host side. Many FTP programs also have buttons or even shortcut keys that will permit you to perform this operation simply. Note that if you have a large number of files it may take a bit of time to do this -file transfers through FTP are not as quick as ones within your own hard drive so you may have to wait a bit longer than you're used to.

When the files have been transferred your job is probably done, however note that on an FTP program you can also set file and folder permissions for files. The FTP program will most likely determine a standard set of permissions that in the majority of cases will be acceptable, however you may have scripts or other programs which need specific file or folder permissions. First and foremost, it's important to remember that Pinterest is a "Social" Networking Site. Many people forget that the strength in these types of sites is in actually being social. On Pinterest, this is fun and easy to do, and there are several ways to do it.

One way to build followers is by following others first. When you are on the main Pinterest page and logged into your account, you'll notice that Pinterest recommends "Friends to Follow" on the left hand side. These are recommendations based on people that you are already connected to through Facebook or Twitter.

If you click the red "Follow" button you will begin following all of their boards. Alternatively, you can click on their name and just select specific boards to follow.

You'll also notice that Pinterest displays "Recent Activity". This will show you people who have recently begun following your boards, so that you can follow them in return.

Another method for building your followers is to search for pins via category or keyword, and then follow the boards or pinners that interest you.

To search by keyword, type your keyword(s) into the search bar in the upper left hand corner. To search by category, click on "Categories" and select your category from the drop down list.

At the bottom of the pin the pinner's name will appear as a clickable link. Click on it to be taken to their Pinterest profile, where you can either choose to follow all their boards, or select specific boards.

Another method for gaining followers on Pinterest is to simply share news of your new Pinterest account through your other social media networks. Let your tweeps know -share it with your Facebook friends - blast it on Linkedln - wherever you have a presence, let it be known that you've expanded your presence to include Pinterest.

With Pinterest's wide spread adoption, you'll notice that your social media circles will quickly start to overlap.

An important consideration, especially when using Pinterest as a business building tool, is to build a community of like-minded and niche-specific folks. A great way to do this is by identifying people or brands on Pinterest who are in your same niche, and then following their boards and repinning their pins.

Each time they post a pin, it will appear on your main Pinterest feed. Below the pin you'll be able to see everyone who has repinned, liked or commented on their pins. This is very helpful because you can then follow those pinners, which will help you to quickly grow a very targeted, niche-specific audience.

Along those same lines, you can also "like" and "add comments" to niche-specific pins. When you do, the original pinner will see that you commented on his/her pins and will likely engage in a return conversation with you. When other pinners see this dialogue taking place, you begin to gain authority through influence and your Pinterest network expands.

Building a wide-spread following on Pinterest is easy to do. Simply spend 30 - 60 minutes per week following the suggestions above and you'll quickly create a thriving Pinterest community.

In today’s lesson I’m going to explain concepts that are FUNDAMENTAL to making your first $1000 on the Internet, give you a startup checklist and provide you with a weekly schedule of activities to complete.
Sidebar: If you are an “experienced” online marketer, then you’ll be able to start making your first $1000 on the Internet right away. If you are a “beginning” online marketer, then we’ll take the next four lessons to explain thoroughly how to get each of these preliminary steps completed.

In a nutshell, there are two FUNDAMENTAL concepts to making your first $1000 on the Internet …and for building a sustainable business that will pay you much more than that for years to come.

Note: For you English majors and grammar police, I know you are not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but I write “conversationally” and that is my “voice”. And as you will see later, using the right “voice” can make you a lot of money! ?

This is really all you need to do in order to make your first $1000 on the Internet. But let’s flesh these concepts out…

I like to use illustrations, so let’s imagine you want to be a horse rancher. You are new to horse ranching, so you don’t have any horses yet. What is the first thing you need to do? You need to build a herd!
Now here is where a lot of people mess up. They start planning all the products they want to create …they worry about the “look and feel” of the web site they want to build …they worry about the tax ramifications and laws for owning a small business …they worry about incorporating for limited liability…

But that is getting the cart before the horse! (no pun intended! ?)

Start building the herd first, then all of these other things will take care of themselves!

You really need to see yourself as a good herdsman (or shepherd if you prefer that analogy). Your job is to build a herd and then take very good care of that herd! Feed them. Make sure they have all they need. Protect them from predators (unscrupulous people who would take advantage of your herd). Always remember this principle…

Take care of your herd, and they will take care of you!

So here is a startup checklist to keep you on track…

Startup Checklist: The Four Pillars Of A Successful Online Business

There are four “pillars” of a successful online business: Preparation, Presentation, Production and Promotion. Each of these are necessary components in starting your site … they are, in essence, your foundation.

1. Preparation: In the “preparation” stage you will make important decisions regarding your site: market selection, choosing a theme or topic, determining a delivery schedule.
2. Presentation. In the “presentation” stage you will structure the visual appearance of your sales process: setting up a blog, domain registration, web site hosting, writing a sales letter, providing access to your autoresponder, setting up a download page.
3. Production. In the “production” stage you will create content for your herd and share useful tips and tricks that will enrich their lives and/or businesses.
4. Promotion. In the “promotion” stage you will begin getting the word out about your new blog and web site. You will begin attracting new subscribers, as well as develop an ongoing marketing presence to continually funnel in new subscribers.
As I mentioned, we’ll cover each of these in-depth over the next few lessons. For now, let’s identify some core action steps to complete in order to have a successful online business…

Twelve Steps To Start Making Your First $1000 On The Internet

Note: These twelve steps are organized in chronological order for your convenience.

DECIDE upon a market and topic. (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) A “market” consists of a broad group of people with a specific related interest that you’d like to sell to. Examples include: internet marketing, health and fitness, homeschooling, self help, relationships, parenting, etc. A “topic” would be a subject to which the market is passionate, concerned or attracted. Examples include: affiliate marketing, losing weight, managing time, keeping romance alive, raising Godly children, etc. (I will be giving you a “Choosing Your Niche” Template in lesson #2).

CREATE A BLOG (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) - this will be the hitching post where everyone in your herd wants to hang out, listen to what you have to say and offer their opinions. This is where you will offer your herd good content and valuable tips and tricks to enrich their lives and/or businesses. This is where you will attract potential herd members and this is also where you will do the “care and feeding” part of raising a herd. If you don’t want to mess around with getting a domain name and hosting right off the bat, I recommend using Tumblr as your blog. It’s easy and FREE to use!

Note: Don’t worry that this FREE blog is not on your domain name. Even if you start another blog inside your domain name, this will NOT be wasted time. It is actually great for search engine reasons to have a blog OUTSIDE of your domain name linking back to your site once you get a domain name.

CAPTURE EMAILS (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) This is the first step in building your herd. You will offer something people want in exchange for their first name and an email. Once you have their first name and email, they become part of your herd and you have a responsibility to care, feed and protect your herd. This is also the way you tell them about products they may be interested in. I personally use Aweber as my autoresponder. After your autoresponder account is activated, load a “welcome email” to your account to be sent to subscribers when they join your site.

PROMOTE YOUR BLOG (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) There are many, many ways to promote your blog including social media, search engine optimization, posting comments on other people’s blogs, yahoo groups and forums, etc. One of the best ways is forming reciprocal partnerships with other blog owners in your niche.

SELL SOMETHING ON YOUR BLOG (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) If you already have a product, by all means, recommend it on your blog. But I am guessing that most of you do not have a product to recommend to your herd. A great place to start is ClickBank, affiliate programs of your favorite gurus and even selling go old advertising space on your blog! A great way to “sell” without appearing “salesy” is to review a product on your blog and then provide your affiliate link at the end of the review.

GET A DOMAIN NAME (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) Choose a domain name for your web site and then register a domain with the same name. Remember to keep it as short and memorable as possible, and, of course, related to the topic of your site.

CHOOSE A HOSTING COMPANY (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) There are many, many options available for your hosting. Some of my own recommendations are: HostGator.com, SectorLink.com

CREATE A WEB PAGE (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) A web page is very similar to a blog but allows you to do more. It allows you to create a sales page for your products and review pages for the products of other people that you recommend. You will also be able to turn your articles into web pages that rank high in the search engines and allow more people to find you - thus, building your herd even more!

PROMOTE YOUR WEB PAGE (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) This will be very similar to the promotion of our blog above. In fact, we will add the promotion of our web site into the sequence when we promote our blog. Having a blog, a web site, a twitter and facebook account, etc will not require a lot of time and will give the impression to our niche that we are EVERYWHERE on the Internet. You will be the “go to” guy or gal for your niche!

CREATE YOUR OWN PRODUCT (Activity Time: 4 hours+) Having your own product allows you get to keep the lion’s share of the profits. It also gives you credibility and usually creates opportunities to do teleseminars/webinars for other people’s list and even opens up speaking opportunities!

USE PLR TO CREATE PRODUCTS (Activity Time: 60 Minutes) Once you have a list and have created some products, Private Label Rights is a great way to crank out quality products fast. An information products business can grow by leaos and bounds by having multiple products at multiple price points. And you do not have to create everything you sell! PLR is also a great way to create monthly income after the initial sale of your own product.

Part 3: Going International

In Phase 1 of this guide I mentioned I start all my campaigns in the US Market, as it’s the biggest English speaking market in the world. Furthermore credit cards aren’t just easy to come by, they are part of American Culture and most people are very comfortable buying products online. Overall, the US is a great market to start your campaigns.

But as with all markets, there is a limit to the traffic you can generate on a daily / monthly basis form the 309,442,000+ people living in the United States. That’s why going international is good idea - you get more traffic, and possibly discover markets where your products convert much higher. From personal experience, I’ve had a product that had a Conversion Rate nearly 4 times higher in Australia than it did in the United States.

The international markets I start off with after my US campaigns are performing at the high rate I want them to are:

Australia and New Zealand

Canada

United Kingdom

Important: when starting new international campaigns, don’t lump countries together -keep them separated and create 1 campaign per country. So if you use our “Bodyweight Fitness” example, our first campaign was.

Bodyweight Fitness US

We can then go ahead and create:

Bodyweight Fitness AU / NZ Bodyweight Fitness CAN Bodyweight Fitness UK

For each one of our new International Campaigns we are going to keep everything identical to our US Campaign, the only difference will be our new campaigns will be showing in other countries (AU, CAN, UK etc.)

So, to set up your new International Campaigns you can go through Part 2: Campaign Settings - outlined in Phase 1 of this guide. Personally, that is what I do:

I set up the new International Campaigns with the original keywords, but instead of using the original Ads I use the new and improved Ads (the ones we rewrote after 1,000 clicks). The reason I use the original keywords list is because I’ve noticed that sometimes the keywords that don’t do well in the US market do much better in other markets. As for Negative Keywords, I use the latest up-to-date lists for the new Campaigns / Ad Groups.

Another important thing to remember is: Not all markets are created equal. Some will have higher CTRs and Conversions and some will have lower CTRs and Conversions, while others may not generate clicks at all. So don’t be alarmed if some of your International Campaigns don’t experience the performance of your US campaign, it happens.

Advice on Non-English speaking countries (Advanced, so don’t do it until you have everything else figured out):

English is a Global Language. So even if a country doesn’t have it listed as an official language, chances are there is a large percentage of the population that still speaks English. Of course there are roughly 195 countries on this planet (depending on who you ask), you shouldn’t start a new campaign for every single one of them. Instead what you should do is...

Lump the remaining countries into a single “World Campaign”, and be sure to exclude the countries you already have individual campaigns for. Choose English as the language and set up the rest of the campaign identical to the US campaign.

Once your “Global Campaign” reaches 1,000+ clicks you’ll be able to log into your Analytics account and see which countries are generating most of the traffic. You can then drop the low performing countries and create separate campaigns for the high performing ones.

I’m not going to go into the details of using Analytics, as it’s fairly easy to install (a lot like installing tracking codes) and is a different Guide all together.

Conclusion

Once again, the advice and instructions given above are the same as the methods I personally use to trim the fat off my new campaigns, increase their performance and improve the quality of traffic being driven to my website.

By now, after having read both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of this guide, you should have an idea of what it takes to set up a successful Adwords Campaign with high performing ads, functional Negative Keywords, as well as improve that campaign once you have some real data at your disposal.

You’ll notice I kept both Phases of this guide fairly short. I didn’t go into details about shortcuts, the latest adwords features or any of the hot trends that come and go on a monthly basis. I focused on the fundamentals, the very same fundamentals that have worked for me for the last 7 years and will continue to work for years to come...

There is a reason I haven’t been effected by any “Google Slaps” and have continued to do the same thing, over and over again for such a long time: Google may make policy changes and introduce new features, but the basic foundation remains the same. And if you have a firm grasp of that foundation, you shouldn’t have any trouble driving predictable, quality traffic you have control over to your Sales Pages.

German pork hocks

In Germany those pork hocks are often served with sauerkraut. Feel free though to enjoy those with any of your favorite sides. Pork hocks are a nice and cheap cut of meat that offers a delicious taste when cooked gently and slowly.

INGREDIENTS

1 leek, cleaned thoroughly and cut into 1-inch pieces;

2 celery stalks, diced;

1 carrot, diced;

1 onion, diced;

2 pork hocks;

Sea salt to taste;

1 tsp whole black peppercorns;

PREPARATION

Place the hocks in a large pot with the leeks, cel- ery, onion, carrot and whole peppercorns. Add some sea salt to taste.

Fill the pot with water to cover the hocks and vegetables, bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer and let simmer for 2 to 3 hours, until the meat is very tender.

Drain, reserve the liquid and preheat your oven to 425 F.

Place the cooked hocks with the vegetables in a baking dish with some of the reserved cooking liquid.

Place in the oven to roast for about 30 minutes, basting it from time to time.

Log into your Pinterest account. Go to your profile page.

From your profile page click on the Pinterest logo and please go to the home page. When you are on the home page, you will see a popular page option. Please click on that.

After you click on the popular page, you will be taken to a pgae which will contain all the most popular pins related to your chosen categories. These pictures are extremely popular & have great exposure.

In the above picture you can see just how popular the pins are. With as much as 2000+ repins and this is very normal.

What we do now is download one of these very popular pics on to our desktop.

I will use the picture of the lady with short blonde hair that you see above. I’ll save it on my desktop and then upload it on to my website and write a few lines around it and link it to a hair product offer!

I then go off to one of the CPA networks I am on and search for a relevant product to promote. This looks like a very relevant offer I can link to the picture above, Alright now we will go to our website and click on the picture we just put on our earlier post.

We will then use the ‘pin it’ button from our bookmarks And pin the picture we just clicked on. What this will do is pin the picture back on pinterest BUT this time, on your board. You can even create a relevant board while pinning if you don’t have one.

Now what will happen is, since this picture is already popular, you will get a lot of exposure to it. Within minutes you will get repins, likes and comments. I pinned this picture around 20 minutes ago and here are the results so far just from one pin!

Unbelievable right? Do 500 of these and see the difference! Don’t forget it will also contain your website address because you pinned it from there!

So the more you do this entire method, around 500 pins per day, you can imagine just how much traffic will flock on your website!

Now go ahead, and do this method and monetize your website with CPA offers, Clickbank, Amazon, AdSense etc..the world is at your fingertips!

6.The Pinteresting Marketing Buddy!(Software)

So now we reach a point where things get really automated and makes our lives easy.

The ‘Pinteresting Marketing Buddy’ is an automated machine that does a great job for you. Not only does it pin everything for your, it even follows people based on keyword. And the best part is that it puts your website on the pinned picture so that when the pins are displayed, other pinterest users can see your website address on that pin.

Okay So Give Me All The Features All In One Go:

Feature no 1: PINS IMAGES: You just have to enter the keywords based on which the software will find you pictures from flickr.

After that you need to enter a pin description. This will describe your pins. For example: This is so pretty or This is what I want! Next, you have to enter a name you want for our board into which the pinning will take place.

You must enter your website address so that every pin that is pinned on your board, will have your website address.

It will also ask you a maximum number of pins you want per keyword and maximum in total. You can enter any reasonable amount since you do not want anything to come across as spam. Now simply, click on ‘RUN’. Let it do the job for you.

Feature no 2: COMMENTER: Here, what this software does for you is creates comments on pins based on your choice of keywords. For example: if you choose the keyword, ‘food’, this software will go and find all the pins which are based on food. It will also ask you for a one liner comment file, which you will create on a notepad. Simply, open up notepad and type, “this is great” as a comment.

It will then ask you how many comments you would like to place. You can add as many as you like within reason. Click RUN and watch how this software auto posts comments based on your choice of pins!
