This is good news because a click means a visitor and that means you now know precisely how much your visitors are costing you.

The next step then is to work out how much your visitors are worth to you. You can do this by doing some quick math: calculate how many visitors you have a day and how many products you sell a day. Then calculate how much profit you make on each of those products.

So if you have an ebook worth $50 and you sell one of those every two days, then 1,000 visitors a day means you make $100 for every 2,000 hits. Thus each visitor is worth 0.025cents to you right now. You can increase this by increasing the cost of your book or by improving your conversion rate. The higher you can make this number, the better your campaign will be.

Because once you have this number, you have an amount you can pay for guaranteed profits. If you make 10 cents per visitor, then you can pay up to 9 cents per click and come away with almost guaranteed money in the bank at the end of a campaign.

Now you can set up your campaign with that in mind. If you set your CPC (cost per click) to 9 cents then this will be your maximum bid. A lot of the time you’ll pay less than that (you enter into automatic bidding wars for each ad space) but this will be the maximum amount you spend. From there, you can then set your budget to however much you put aside for advertising. But you should make this money back if you’ve set this up properly.

Then what you’re going to do is to create an ad title and text that filters your visitors. And you’re going to target the precise right keywords that have the minimum competition while providing a lot of potential customers for your products.

For example, you should target specific keywords like ‘buy hats online’ to make sure that the leads you’re acquiring are qualified and ready to buy from you. At the same time, you should try to use phrases like ‘Buy $30 hat online’ to make sure that people looking for cheaper hats won’t click on your links!

The great news is that this will actually increase your profits more. Sure, right now your traffic is worth X amount to you per person. But this traffic is traffic that has shown an interest in your product and that already knows the price. The conversion rate for these specific visitors will be MUCH higher.

So that means you can start with your low estimate – your guaranteed ‘safe’ number – and then increase the amount you spend once you can work out the conversion rates for these highly targeted visitors. Once you know that number, you can increase your PPC, thereby winning more bids and gaining more exposure for your products and services and without ever risking investing money that you might not make back!

Getting into shape is fairly simple after all, it tends just to be a matter of being active, lifting weights and eating right. So why haven’t you?

The answer comes down to energy.

Because if you’re anything like most people, then you will probably have watched at least one TV boxset this week. And if you’re like most people, then you probably spent at least some time just crashed out on the couch.

And no matter who you are, you could probably get up 20 minutes earlier. If you really wanted to that is.

So the problem isn’t time. Rather, the problem is energy. You lack the energy to get into great shape and that’s the reason you aren’t already more active.

Just because you have time, that doesn’t mean you’re going to have the energy and that’s why you often can’t accomplish things when you really want to.

There are plenty more examples of this too. How about starting that book? Or setting up a home business? How about cleaning in the kitchen..??

The problem is that most of us lead very busy lives. We either spend all day working in the office, or we spend all day tidying and running chores. Come the evening, we’re crashed out, done.

So you need to make sure that your training is as simple, as easy and as quick as it possibly can be.

And that’s why you need to train from home.

So we know now that energy is the problem. We’re too tired, stressed and we have too much to do to face working out.

And then we decide that we need to get into shape, and we write ourselves training programs that involve going to the gym five times a week. That gym is 2 miles away of course, meaning there’s a 15 minute drive on either side in traffic. Plus you need to walk from the car park, you need to get changed, you need to put your things in the locker and you need to have a shower afterward.

Now your 1 hour workout is actually taking you one our forty five.

And now you don’t just have to muster the energy to work out – you need to muster the energy to drive, to talk to the receptionist, to talk to the other people in the gym, to head out into the cold.

You’re already too tired to be active and now you’re adding not five but near enough 10 hours of extra activity into your routine.

Hmm, I wonder why this doesn’t work!

Now let’s take a different approach.

Let’s workout from home. Now you can train at the time that best suits you, you can train in the place that is nearest to you and you can train with equipment that you like. There’s no commute, there’s no going outside and there’s no talking to the staff.

Now your 10 hours is back down to five hours!

But that’s not even how you’re going to start. You’re not going to start with five hours a week but rather just 20 minutes each morning before you shower. That’s something that everyone should be able to manage and this small amount is just enough to give you ‘the bug’ and to help you build the energy you need to really start training hard as you progress.

How Technology Can Make You Free

Right now, most of us are not free. We feel free because we have the option to go where we want and do what we want… in theory.

But we’re not truly free because our options are limited and ultimately we have to stick to pretty much the exact same routine everyday if we want to be happy, healthy and unstressed. Sure, you could call in sick and opt to just spend the day exploring or watching TV… but the consequence would be that you’d lose your job.

The other day I was watching a TV series called 22.11. 63 in which the lead character can travel back in time to one day and stay for as long as he likes. Every time he travels back, it undoes what he did last time. And he’s rich, because he gambles on sports matches knowing what the outcome will be.

In the first episode he walks around the town, gets a haircut, eats some food, buys a car, chats with the locals and explores.

Shouldn’t every day be like that?

Shouldn’t you have the option right now to just head outside and go and grab a bite to eat? To visit a famous landmark? To travel to the beach? To go to the gym for a workout?

How incredible would it feel to be actually free in this very real sense and to live the life you wanted?

But chances are that you can’t do that. Either you’re at work in which case you need to carry on spending all your time and energy on something that you’re probably terribly impassionate about, or you’re at home and don’t have much time so you need to cook and get ready for tomorrow.

Chances are that you’re grabbing a moment to read this between all the other things you have to do. This is your downtime and it’s all you maybe have the energy to muster. Not free.

The biggest problem here is work. Most people spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week doing a job that they don’t enjoy and that they have no real interest in. And while 8 hours might not seem like a big chunk out of 28, it is when you consider you probably also spend 1-2 hours commuting, you probably stay late at least a couple of times a week and you sleep for 8 hours a night.

This now leaves you with about 6 hours of waking time. And seeing as you’ll be getting ready in the morning, you can slash that down to 4.5 hours. And seeing as you need to cook, wash, tidy, pay taxes, call the bank, fix the boiler… that 4.5 hours doesn’t go very far. And it also won’t go very far because you’re probably exhausted.

This is why so many of us struggle to start working out and stick to that routine. And it’s why so many of us feel we don’t get to spend enough time with our family and friends. It’s why friendships fall away and it’s why we don’t have time to work on our master novel we’ve been thinking of. We’re just too exhausted during the few free hours we have to ourselves.

All we have is the weekends, during which we are probably committed to doing other things (weddings, stag parties, funerals, tidying) and which really isn’t enough to do all of the things that most of us want to do.

And this would all make sense if you loved your job. This would all make sense if you had always dreamed of being an astrophysicist and now you are. But for most of us that is not the case. For most of us, our job is whatever we kind of ‘fell into’ when we left college/highschool. You probably started with whatever job you could get, whether that be logistics or underwriting and you probably then got somewhat addicted as you started to progress. You built up your life around the salary you got there and now you feel like you can’t leave and still have the lifestyle you’ve come to expect.

What’s more is that you feel as though you need to keep working harder and longer in that job. You’ve probably moved into a bigger house with bigger mortgage repayments, you’ve probably had children (which costs a small fortune), now you’re probably paying for a child minder and a big commute and if only you had a little more money.

Meanwhile, dreams of one day becoming a rock star or a writer fade into nothing. Meanwhile, the idea of being able to decide on a whim to go for a stroll becomes an equally unrealistic fantasy.

And apart from anything else, work is degrading a lot of the time. You get told what you can and can’t wear, you get told off for talking and you get told what you can have on your desk. Sure, some employers are a little more forward thinking than that but for the most part, being at work means being treated like a child.

This is all not okay.
