Introduction

Story telling can be a powerful component in a marketing strategy. It can be the driving force behind developing, and more importantly, establishing a brand that connects and resonates with your target audience.

The story you tell, and the method in which you use to weave that story throughout your marketing campaigns will be based on your overall goals but one thing remains the same:

Your story will be designed to introduce your brand to the world in a way that helps you stand out and apart from the competition.

Storytelling is a testament to our hard work; it highlights the efforts we’ve taken to create an outstanding brand, and it helps deliver larges pieces of content in a way that people can connect to.

It’s also the easiest way to express emotions and illustrate your commitment to providing value.

There’s nothing more powerful than a carefully crafted story that fulfills the needs of your core market.

In this special report, we’ll cover the top story-telling methods, how to best use these strategies and how you can use storytelling to strengthen your brand or launch a new one.

Without further delay, let’s begin!

The Art of Storytelling

Content marketing is when you figure out ways to utilize and repurpose content so that it is seen by a larger audience.  Storytelling and content marketing go hand-in-hand.

With storytelling, you can design a highly-engaged marketing campaign that carries a strong focus.  You’ll use storytelling to give people the information they want to hear to make the decision to follow your brand, purchase your products or connect with your platform.

Thankfully, there’s an easy structure to a creating a compelling storyline for your marketing campaign and it begins with utilizing a variety of delivery methods, including:

Visual and Content-Based:

Visual storytelling would include things like videos, presentations, Webinars or perhaps a series of episodes that bring your viewers on a journey.

Content based would include everything else, such as articles, blog posts, sales pages and so on.

It’s important to combine both storytelling methods into your marketing campaigns so you’re able to reach a broader audience.  Some people prefer to watch video; others absorb information better in text form.

The anatomy of a successful storytelling campaign will also include a specific series of questions and answers.  We’ll dive deeper into this in the next chapter, but for now, here’s a quick overview of what you need to consider when designing your storytelling campaign.

Questions from your Audience:

This isn’t where you poll your market for their most burning questions, though that can be an effective strategy in coming up with a storyline that connects with your core audience.  But another way to address questions without surveying your market begins with the questions you had when you first ventured in your niche.

Look at what questions your customers are already asking? What answers your competitors are providing?  And how best to connect with your audience using language they best understand.

Establishing a Timeline:

This is where you draft your story arc around a marketing campaign.  This story will tell your audience how you got from point A to B, why you created your brand (services/products), and how it exists to serve them.

Introduction

We live in an era of information overload. We are bombarded with media, technology, entertainment, and notifications every day. It seems there are hundreds of people and things competing for your attention at any given time. There is no wonder why in the last few years, our attention spans have become shorter and our ability to focus has decreased.

Your time is valuable. Not being able to focus can have a negative effect on how successful we are at work and in our personal lives. Focus is a skill that we develop by training and practice. Productivity requires intention and strategy to help make your time work for you!

Let’s begin by examining time killers that make us less productive. We will discuss tips and techniques to help improve your focus. Then let’s create your plan will that will get you started on improving your productivity now!

Indentify Focus Killers

“Focus can only occur when we have said yes to one option and no to all other options,” says James Clear in his article on Focus.

Time killers are activities that distract us from what we really need to do. They don’t contribute to helping us achieve our goals.

Time killing activities are “noise”. They are distractions that kill our ability to focus. Laser focus requires to limit them as much as possible while you are working.

The key to focus is to choose one task to do and get rid of the rest. Anything that is not essential for completing that task is a distraction.

To help you get started on your journey on maximizing productivity, let’s identify those things that are distracting you from completing your work.
Tomorrow morning when you start work, try taking a written (or mental) note of every time you stop from what you are currently working on to do something, then come back to your work. Keep a tally.

Once they are identified, let’s write those activities down to put in our plan later. We will look for ways to set boundaries to prevent it from happening in the future. Here are a few examples of the most common distractions and how they affect our ability to stay focused.

Your Mobile Device/Phone

It is with you when you wake up, while you are driving, in meetings, at dinner, and by your bedside at night. Our mobile devices have become another appendage to our bodies. Some people find it difficult to be away from their phones, even for a few minutes. Constant notifications from apps and texts can quickly distract you, causing a delay in getting your attention focused back on the task at hand.

To help us be more aware of our phone usage, some mobile devices (like the iPhone) will track home many times you pick up your phone a day. This can be a scary number to see. Once you are aware of how many times you pick up your phone to check notifications, you can start making some adjustments to how often you pick up your phone.

Multi-Tasking

Some people use multi-tasking as a badge of honor to feel accomplished. That person may feel that the busier they are, the more things they are getting done. The truth is we can work on more than one thing at a time, just not as well.

When we can focus on one task at a time, we can give it our full focus. It takes time for our brains to switch between tasks which results in time wasted. Focus on the completion of tasks rather than getting many tasks done quickly. How often are you multi-tasking? Write down if you feel multi-tasking helps you feel accomplished.

Social Media Traps

Have you ever fallen into the rabbit hole of YouTube or become so engaged with Instagram that you found yourself there for hours? It happens often. The chemical rewards we get from our brain when we get likes and comments on our posts keep us engaged.

As consumers, we enjoy viewing the millions of videos and content posted every day. However, if we are working this is a hindrance to our productivity. The best way to stop this time killer is to set boundaries for social media.

Introduction

Whether they originally set out to or not, when Zuckerberg and cohorts built Facebook, they also built perhaps the most powerful marketing platform/tool ever created (only Google gives it a potential run for its money).

Facebook is a place where users will actively, willingly offer up huge amounts of data about themselves. This includes demographic data such as their age, sex, and location – but also deeply personal information such as their hobbies and interests, where they went for dinner last night, and even their income bracket.

What’s more, is that they also provide us with a huge network of other potential users that might share the same interests or have access to the same things.

This matters to us as marketers because it allows us to TARGET our audience. And as you will learn over the course of this eBook, targeted marketing is by far the most powerful.

As Facebook grew in size and functionality, its reach and usefulness as a tool for digital marketers grew in kind.

Meanwhile though, in other corners of the net, other new marketing tools would also emerge. Google was the first to introduce ‘retargeting’ to a large audience – a concept that helped advertisers reach the most targeted and qualified leads – people who had already demonstrated an interest in their brand and even a willingness to spend money.

That this feature would eventually come to Facebook was inevitable. And when it did, a perfect match was made.

Retargeting on Facebook is perhaps THE most effective way to reach a primed and ready consumer base and to make sales as a result.

In short, retargeting allows you to advertise more than once to the same people that have previously engaged with your brand –

even spent time on checkout pages, or having added specific items to their shopping cart.

The best part is that Facebook actually goes beyond the likes of Google by offering an even more powerful version of this feature – letting you remarket in numerous different ways, to numerous different types of lead and customer.

This tends to fall under the broader category of Facebook’s ‘Custom Audiences’, which can be custom for a variety of reasons.

To put it simply, if you have any product you want to sell online – whether digital or physical – Facebook retargeting might be one of the most powerful and effective ways to do just that. And not only that, but you’ll also find that this is one of the best tools for promoting a cause, increasing brand awareness, and growing your audience and your authority.

The best marketers know that success online is a matter of human psychology, numbers, and knowing the right tools. If you can invest correctly in Facebook retargeting, then you can see that money returned in huge quantities. And in this book, you’ll learn precisely how to make the most of this type of marketing to potentially grow your audience and increase your profits.

Chapter 1: Why Facebook Retargeting Works

So, the basic idea behind Facebook retargeting, is that you’re able to ‘remarket’ to people who have already spent time on your site, or even on specific pages from within your site. This is powerful stuff, because it means that you can market to warm, hot, and qualified leads.

Let’s rewind for a moment and think about what that means. Normally, when you show someone an advert, you do so while knowing very little about them, and having had no contact with them previously. You might be browsing the web and then notice an advert for something that you have never heard of. A nice pair of shoes for instance, a holiday, a useful service.

Problem is, you just bought a pair of shoes, you’re just back from holiday, and you have no use for the service because you don’t have a house (for example).

So, chances are that you’re simply going to scroll right past that ad and not give it any further thought. This was then essentially a wasted investment for the advertiser who put that advert there in the first place.

That’s why a targeted ad is theoretically worth so much more than a regular ad. When an ad is targeted, it means that it is being purposefully aimed only at people who are likely to be interested in whatever the advert is for – at least based on their demographics and statistics.

So, for example, adverts for home cleaning services will only be shown to people who actually own homes. Likewise, adverts for athletic sports shoes will only be shown to people who own athletic sports shoes.

All of this ensures that the money is not wasted nearly as often. But it’s still not perfect. Because it’s still advertising to someone that you’ve had no prior contact with – who has never heard of your brand.

Why do you buy Apple products? Or Nike products? Why do you use Netflix?

Because you know the brand. You’ve learned what they have to offer and you know that they typically provide a certain level of quality.

You would buy a hugely expensive tablet from Apple because of the trust and authority they have built up over decades. Btu now imagine that someone comes up to you in the street and offers you a thousand dollar computer that has no branding on it. Would you be willing to pay a thousand dollars for that? Would you trust that it works?

Even if you’re in the market for a tablet?

No.

It only takes a minute to go to the Apple website, or another retailer that stocks those devices – such as Amazon. So why would you spend money on an unknown commodity?

That’s why big companies will spend millions on advertising that is designed to increase brand visibility first. From that point, the customers will then come to them rather than vice versa. Most of us smaller marketers don’t have that kind of budget though, so we don’t have the luxury to build that kind of awareness and visibility. That’s why we instead use content marketing.

Content marketing is marketing that uses blog posting, YouTube, social media and whatever else in order to create a relationship with the customer. To demonstrate that we know what we’re talking about, that we are trustworthy, and that we are able to offer something unique.

If you read an incredibly blow post about fitness and that author then recommends a supplement at the end of the post, you’re now much more likely to be successful.

Introduction

You visit the doctor regularly to maintain your health. That’s certainly smart. Before your next appointment, however, consider this: when was the last time your doctor asked about your diet?

Although physicians are perfectly aware of the connection between our health and the food we put into our body, this is a question they rarely, if ever, pose. They appear to be more interested in prescribing medications than treating and preventing health problems in a more natural and effective way. This is especially disconcerting as more and more people suffer from wheat sensitivity, allergy, or celiac disease.

The problem with wheat is caused by gluten, one of the proteins found in modern-day wheat. It can damage the smaller intestine and make digesting wheat difficult or impossible. It can cause fatigue, nausea, diarrhea and other, more serious discomforts, such as damaging the small intestine. Celiac disease is serious, and physicians need to start paying attention.

Processed wheat, which is found everywhere, isn’t healthy for anyone. For people with celiac disease, it can be a daily nightmare. That is why going gluten-free is becoming increasingly popular. People are learning the effects of modern wheat and are starting to take control of their own health.

For people who are sensitive or allergic to wheat, going gluten-free can be life-changing. It can help them rid the body of irritating toxins and help them function normally again.

For others, who are not gluten-sensitive, abstaining from gluten is a way of eating healthier, feeling better, and having more energy.

Food matters. What we consume is critical to our health. The fact is, gluten adds little to our lives but can cause considerable damage. Going gluten-free is a return to eating in a way that promotes optimum health and wellbeing. For anyone who believes that we have been eating wheat for thousands of years without a problem, you will soon learn why that is incorrect.

Even for those who are not suffering from celiac disease or wheat sensitivity, a gluten-free diet can be a prevention against disease. Gluten is known to cause serious inflammations, and inflammations can increase the risk of arthritis and coronary diseases. Using food to prevent the onset of these problems enables us to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. This makes far more sense than treating diseases with medications that can have harmful side effects.

Gluten is all around us, which can make going gluten-free quite a challenge. With so many food items made of wheat, barley, or rye, all of which contain gluten, and with more food products containing hidden wheat, the idea of eating gluten-free may seem like deprivation. Quite the contrary. You can still eat the cookies, cakes, and pasta you love. You will simply be preparing them differently.

If you are suffering from celiac disease, going gluten-free is a must. But other intestinal issues, such as diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome have also been relieved with a gluten-free diet. Researchers are linking more and more gastrointestinal problems to gluten.

In addition, we’ll take a look at the surprising connection between gluten-free, ADHD, and autism.

You will soon discover the options available to you, and how to make gluten-free eating a part of your healthy lifestyle.

Chapter 1 Wheat and Celiac Disease – The Downside of Gluten

Wheat has been around for thousands of years. It’s easy to grow and quite nutritious. It was probably one of the first food items our forefathers gathered to feed themselves. Wheat was truly life-giving.

For all these thousands of years, the whole grain kernel was ground and used to bake bread or prepare cereals. Fresh, whole grain has always been a part of our diet without being harmful to our health.

It’s not until the 1960s and 70s that people began to realize that the wheat they are consuming is making them sick.

What happened? Have our bodies changed? No. It’s the wheat we have relied on for thousands of years that has been changed and twisted into something our forefathers wouldn’t recognize.

Industrialization has been good to mankind, but it hasn’t always been kind to the food we consume.

Let’s start with white flour, the first food that we would call “processed.” In 1870, the steel roller mill allowed wheat to be separated to refine the wheat into a white powder. “White” flour was considered fancy.

So, to meet consumer demand, white flour was produced en masse, and the rest of the kernel, the nutritious part, was tossed aside. Within 10 years, all flour was white and seriously lacking in nutrients. Ten years was all the time it took to change thousands of years of nourishment into something “fancy” and lacking in many nutrients.

That was only the beginning, however. By the 1950s, technology once again let us “improve” our wheat. New techniques allowed for genetically-altered seeds, fertilizers, and harmful pesticides to increase wheat production. Again, everyone rejoiced. More wheat for everyone! Cake for one and all! While the production of wheat increased, its nutritional value was being mangled into something unrecognizable. At the same time, inflammations and immune diseases were being linked directly to this new, “improved” wheat.

Anyone who believes that gluten-free is just a modern phase is half-right. It is indeed something new and modern. But it is not a phase. An increasing number of people are suffering from the effects of modern wheat and refined flour.

Facebook Ads MRR Ebook

It doesn't matter if you run a well-established business or you are managing a startup. It doesn't matter how much of a budget you're working with. Like it or not, and believe it or not, the main way you can make people become aware of your company's brand, and eventually consume the products or services your company offers, is through advertising.

Free Advertising Doesn't Exist

Let's put it this way, you can't be in two places at once. If you're spending all this time and effort trying to brand and promote your business the ‘free’ way, what if you're doing something else that produce ten times the result?

You Cannot Ignore Facebook Ads

What's so awesome about Facebook ads besides its relative low cost is the technology behind it. Again, you may be operating with a fairly small budget. That's okay. Because with Facebook ads, you can leverage the highly sophisticated "social snooping" and "personal profiling" technology Mark Zuckerberg brought to the table.

Did you know that when you log into Facebook, you're legally giving them the right to figure you out? I know it sounds creepy, but Facebook has so much technology it can figuratively get in your head.

It is no surprise that a lot of people consume lots of random pieces of content of Facebook, only to find themselves, sooner or later, being shown ads that seem so personal. It's as if they're thinking about certain things, and an ad would show up that matches those concerns, fears or needs.

There's nothing magical about this. This is a testament to just how robust Facebook's technology is. This book gives you a step by step walk-through of the different ad opportunities currently available on the Facebook ad platform.

As you probably already know, there is no such thing as a perfect solution. Any option will have its own list of advantages and disadvantages. Facebook is not immune to this fact.

The Benefits of Facebook Advertising

• Facebook has a robust and powerful high-tech advertising targeting system
• Facebook is still relatively cheap
• Facebook has so much ad inventory that, depending on the kind of campaign you run, it is still very affordable compared to competing platforms like Google Adwords
• Facebook helps you engage your customers
• FB ads can also deliver the bottom line

Not only can Facebook help you stay relevant with your target audience members, but you can also plug in these ads to your actual sales funnel. They can, with the right strategy and the right sales funnel design, produce conversions. These are sales. These have an actual impact on your business' profitability.

• You can break into new markets

Your FB campaign gets people familiar enough with your new market focus that you don't come off as a completely new player.

• Facebook can drive leads
• Facebook can boost your SEO

Since Google launched the RankBrain algorithm update, click-throughs have begun to play an outsized role in Google's ranking algorithm. This means that when people are clicking your link over others, you're more likely to rise up the listings.

How is this possible with Facebook? Well, since Facebook campaigns make people more familiar with your brand name, your domain name, as well as your site name, you're not a complete stranger.

With everything else being equal, when people see your brand show up in search results, they're more likely to click it compared to a brand that they haven't heard of before. So, this has an aggregate effect.

And if this plays out with enough people over an extended period of time, don't be surprised if your organic rankings on Google also increase.

• Facebook can help you close deals

If you're running a retargeting campaign on Facebook, Facebook will show your ad to users who’ve been to your site. It's not unusual for them to realize that they still need whatever it was that they came to your site for. A lot of them come back to your website and close the deal.

How effective is this strategy? According to many marketing surveys, up to 40% of buyers come back and buy because of this technology .

• You get access to a very robust advertising system

Facebook efficiently slices and dices its audience demographics. If you target one person and that person typically buys from you, you can use that person's profile and apply it to other people who share the same profile to hopefully get the same results. You don't get that robust kind of targeting technology and capabilities with other platforms.

The Downside of Facebook Advertising

Here are just a few of the disadvantages Facebook has. It is by no means a perfect advertising platform. Not even by a long shot. You need to be aware of its downsides.

Facebook Campaign Success Turns Heavily on Ad Quality

If your ads are very vague, irrelevant or simply send the wrong message, don't be all that shocked if they don't produce the results you're looking for.
