If the product you are considering promoting doesn’t fit well with your list, chances are you won’t make many to any sales. Worse than that, it could damage your reputation and credibility with your list if you promote too many offers that don’t resonate with them.

Many Internet marketers like to start with and continue on with affiliate marketing because it often involves less work than coming up with your own offers. For one thing, you just need to promote credible offers from other Internet marketers. For another thing, most Internet marketers will provide sales material (including sales copy, sales emails, banner ads, etc.) to easily promote their offers. Thus, you don’t have to come up with your own product or your own sales copy to promote it. You also don’t have to support and update the product since it’s not your own product to support and update.

As a result, you can see why affiliate marketing is an attractive marketing avenue for many Internet marketers and why many beginning Internet marketers prefer to start with this avenue first before venturing into creating their own offers. As mentioned above, there is a proper way to enter the affiliate marketing world so that you can be successful at it and earn much from it. Your Stepping Stone To Online Success

Many successful Internet marketers today started out as affiliates of other Internet marketers’ products. Many of them do this for a number of reasons:

- They don’t have to create their own offers.
- They don’t have to create their own sales copy or marketing materials.
- They don’t have to provide support or update the products.
- They can learn what it is like to sell products online before actually creating their own.
- They can make some money online quickly before they start spending time and money creating their own offers.

All of these and other reasons are key to why many Internet marketers start off as affiliates of other Internet marketers’ products. Internet marketing can be quite complicated and overwhelming to the “newbie” who has no previous marketing experience online. In fact, some online marketers don’t even have previous marketing experience offline, having served in completely unrelated industries. In fact, one noted and successful Internet marketer with his own 7-figure company today was painting houses before he started marketing online. Yes, he also promoted other marketers’ products, and he still does it today.
Affiliate marketing is often a great way for new Internet marketers to learn how to “get their feet wet” in terms of selling online. You can often make money more quickly by starting out as an affiliate, as you don’t have to spend time and money creating your own product. In addition, you don’t have to write sales copy or create other marketing materials for those offers. Usually, most Internet marketers who have created their own offers also create sales material to promote those offers so that it is easier for their affiliates to promote those offers. And, as mentioned above, you can get an idea of what it takes to successfully sell online by promoting other marketers’ products first before creating and selling your own. This can be quite helpful for people who have little to no previous experience selling anything.

Get In The Right Mindset

Many new Internet marketers just starting out and planning to begin with affiliate marketing make a critical mistake that hinders their success, sometimes to the point where they give up. This critical mistake is not entering the online marketing world, including affiliate marketing, with the right mindset.

Unlike the offline world where you have a boss or higher executive telling you exactly what you need to do, when to report to work, what is expected of you, etc., you have no one but yourself to tell you what you need to do and complete in the online marketing world. It’s you, and you alone. If you don’t get completed what needs to be done, there will be no boss to criticize or punish you, no reprimands for being “late to work” or slacking off during the day.

Some people can more easily make the transition from the offline world where someone else directs them to complete the tasks required to doing it themselves in the online marketing world, while others cannot. An important point: If you cannot direct yourself to complete the tasks that are required, you will NEVER succeed at online marketing, including affiliate marketing. You will likely be best-served never entering the online marketing world and instead continue to serve under a boss. You must learn to be accountable for your own actions, including completing what is required of you on a set timetable yourself, if you ever want to succeed at online marketing, including affiliate marketing.

Failure to complete tasks in a timely fashion will lead to your business taking longer to get established or not getting established at all. There are many tasks that need to be completed, many of which will probably not be familiar to you. This means you must learn how to complete the tasks necessary to have an online marketing business, including an affiliate marketing business, and no one but you can actually learn to do these tasks and complete them in a timely fashion. The only person who gets hurt by not learning these tasks and putting them to work for their business is you.

Therefore, you must ensure that you will hold yourself accountable and put maximum effort into your online marketing business. No one else will do this for you, unlike in the offline world. If you truly want to be successful at online marketing, including affiliate marketing, you must treat this business and all the associated tasks related to it as if you were working for a boss in the offline world and that there will be serious consequences if you fail to do these tasks in a timely fashion. Treating this business as anything less than a job that your livelihood depends on will lead to you failing at Internet marketing, period.
Therefore, if you have other obligations – such as family, taking care of an elderly loved one, attending school or have an offline job – you need to manage them while still putting in the required hours and effort at your online marketing business in order for it to become successful. Regarding affiliate marketing, you still have to put in the hours and effort to make connections, pick out appropriate offers in your selected niche, get the sales material, send out the emails, get traffic to those offers, follow up with them, etc. No one will do this for you, and even if your other obligations require time in their own right, in the remaining hours, you must put in the effort to build your online business.

Therefore, if you have to give up going out with friends, spending time with family or elderly loved ones, etc., you must do it if you want to achieve success online. Obviously, you still have to put in time toward your schooling and your offline job, but other activities that are not critical to your livelihood have to be reduced or eliminated in order to give you the time to build your online business. As time goes on and your business is more established, you will likely gain some free time back to spend as you choose while your business continues to work for you, but in the beginning, you must make the commitment to build your business and see it through. Failure to do this will lead to failure online, period.

It will benefit you in the long run to register your business with a legal business name to ensure everything is legal. By doing this you will also keep other people from using your business name and benefiting from your hard work.

• Do a little research on the tax benefits of being incorporated (INC) or being a limited liability corporation (LLC) versus the disadvantages and see if either of those will give you an advantage for your business.
• Get a second address for your business for privacy and to keep your personal and business mail separate.
Consider renting a mailbox from your local post office to use as your second address. Make sure you get the best size for the amount of mail you will receive. You may also have the choice to pay in 3, 6, or 12 month incremental payments.

Step 2: Open a Business Bank Account

Open a separate business bank account to keep your personal and business expenses separate.

• You can open a business bank account anywhere, but having a local branch nearby can be helpful, especially if problems arise and they can only be resolved in-person.

• Be sure your Web hosting provider provides good customer service whenever you have an issue via online chat, email or phone.

Also be sure your Web hosting provider has reliable uptime for your site. You can’t afford to have a provider that can’t keep your site up and running at all times.

Step 5: Create Your Website and Graphics

Decide which website creation software you plan to use to make and edit Web pages. Most web hosting providers have website creation software you can use or use a content management system (CMS) like:

• Drupal
• Joomla
• etc.

Doing it yourself will save on costs and time in the future if you learn how to effectively work with the software you decide to utilize.

Often times, insomnia is caused by multiple reasons, such as not getting enough rest, hunger, psychological trauma and so on. No matter what the reason is, millions of human beings suffer from the devil called insomnia. It robs you from getting enough rest, saps your energy and destroys your productivity the next day. Not to mention the detrimental effect towards your own physical and mental health.

What is Insomnia?

Insomnia by definition is the difficulty of falling asleep and staying asleep. It refers to the types of restlessness a person suffers at different points of his or her sleep cycle. A simple indication to diagnose insomnia is when a person is not satisfied with the amount of sleep that he or she has been getting.

Those with insomnia will feel the lack of energy, fatigue at different moments of the day, facing difficulty in concentrating on tasks, experiencing terrible mood disturbances, and having a low-performance level in the workplace. It’s possible for insomniacs to have any of these symptoms after staying awake throughout the night.

A human body requires rest to rejuvenate both mind and body. A lack of rest in either one of them will result in fatigue and various mental illnesses. Although they are terribly exhausted to the core, they still fail to fall asleep or stay asleep due to different causes.

The Two Types of Insomnia

1. Acute Insomnia

There are two main types of insomnia. The first type is the kind of insomnia when you only suffer a couple of restless nights. Often times, you're able to fall asleep and stay asleep easily. For many, insomniacs might not think that they are suffering from it but the fact is, they could be having Acute Insomnia.

So what is Acute Insomnia? This kind of insomnia comes from the core levels of stress that insomniacs are experiencing at that moment. They will face a short period where they are not able to fall asleep because of the life circumstances they're facing at that moment. This type of insomnia doesn't last for a prolonged time. Instead, it only happens due to certain factors or events during a specified period of time. For instance, acute insomnia might occur after insomniacs faced the wrath of their boss, gotten a bad grade on a test, got rejected by their crush, or merely because they're having a 'Bad Day'. These situations can cause a person to have a night or two where he or she simply cannot get any sleep. Many people may have experienced this kind of insomnia and it tends to resolve on its own.

2. Chronic Insomnia

The second type of insomnia is known as Chronic Insomnia. It’s a prolonged kind of insomnia which occurs at least three nights per week and lasts for at least three months. Usually, this occurs when you are facing a significant change in your environment, physically or mentally. It could be moving to a new home, losing a loved one, being in a new workplace, facing challenges in school, or having trouble adapting to a harsher weather. Perhaps, the reason why chronic insomniacs are having trouble with sleep is that they have an unhealthy sleep habit without a proper sleep routine.

It’s common in today's world; modern society has screwed up sleep cycle with short hours of sleep. To make things worse, most of them sleep at odd hours. They don't practice the habit of going to bed early and rising early the next day.

As a result, the mind doesn't know when to shut down and would be accustomed to staying up late. That's the reason why insomnia has become a common problem in today's society. What people fail to understand is that the body will not be able to function with a small amount of sleep one night and expect to compensate their sleep gap by taking naps later on during the day. While this may seem possible and useful in the beginning, this sleep pattern is not sustainable for the long-term.

Eventually, the mind and body will collapse, and you will experience complete exhaustion until you get enough rest. The best fix is to have a fixed schedule to sleep and practice healthy sleep routine. Otherwise, you need to visit the doctor for medication. Typically it will be linked to another medical or psychiatric issue; meaning that the reason why you might be having chronic insomnia will be due to stress. What seems to be a typical situation will seem stressful if you have chronic insomnia. A restless mind and body will feel annoyed by any stimulus from the immediate environment.

The Causes of Insomnia

Regardless of the types of insomnia, the causes are the same. The difference lies in the intensity of emotions a person experiences for a set amount of time. Besides that, underlying medical conditions can also cause insomnia. Fortunately, insomnia is treatable in most cases.

The old saying, “Build it, and they will come,” does NOT apply to Internet marketing. People aren’t just going to come to your website and your offer because you put it online- you have to get people to come, see it, and consider it. This is the traffic part of the equation, and that’s what this ebook will focus on.

In this ebook, you will learn about various methods of free and paid traffic. You will learn the difference between quantity and quality of traffic. You will learn about the importance of quality content and the power of search engine optimization (SEO), viral marketing, and social media marketing. Zero Traffic Equals Zero Sales

Many Internet marketers, whether they are promoting their own products or offers of others as an affiliate, overlook the fact that traffic is essential to getting sales. If you have no traffic to your own product page or the page of an offer you are an affiliate of, you will get NO sales. In other words, you will make NO money from your affiliate marketing efforts. Therefore, it is important to not forget the traffic. Note that not all traffic is equal. One may think that getting a high amount of traffic to an offer is better than getting a low amount of traffic to the same offer, but if the lower amount of traffic is more highly targeted (i.e. matches up better with the offer you are promoting), you are likelier to make more affiliate sales with the lower amount of traffic than with the higher amount of traffic.

With any Internet marketing, including affiliate marketing, the offer you promote must match up well with your target audience or market- if it doesn’t, no matter how great the offer is and how many people you send to it, you’ll make fewer or even no sales. Therefore, it’s important to keep in mind the product offer you are promoting, the target market for that offer, and getting members of that target market to see the offer.

Therefore, it is key to getting high-quality traffic to your website or affiliate promotion so that you have a chance to make sales. Then, of course, it will depend on whether that traffic is really interested in your offer or not, your sales copy, and good follow-up email marketing to turn that traffic into sales.

Fortunately, there are several ways to get quality traffic to your site, both free and paid types. We will explore many free and paid traffic strategies in the next chapter.

Free Traffic Vs Paid Traffic

There are many ways to get traffic to your website. Some of them are free methods, others are paid methods. Generally, paid ways of getting traffic will get results (i.e. traffic and turning traffic into sales) faster than free ways of getting traffic, but paid ways can get costly, especially if you are inexperienced in the paid traffic method or are involved in a method with more experienced and better-financed competitors (such as pay-per-click ads on Google, etc.).

Many Internet marketers will often start out with free ways of getting traffic and build their businesses up over time, then utilizing paid methods to help boost the traffic they get to their sites and increase the number of sales they get over a shorter period of time, especially when they discover they have a popular offer that people want.

Thus, it makes sense to use both ways of getting traffic - free and paid – to build and grow your business. We will address more on how you should get started in the following chapters. For now, let’s go over a number of traffic methods to give you an overview of several of the options you have to get quality traffic to your site. (Note that this list is not exhaustive- there are even more methods you can consider and use, but we will attempt to provide the most effective and popular ones here).

On-Site/Off-Site Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization (SEO) is where you modify your site according to the search engine’s preferred algorithms to rank highly in their search results. There are both on-site and off-site free methods you can use to help boost your site’s rankings in the search engines.

On-site SEO involves putting quality content that your target market is looking for on your site, using a good combination of keywords in your meta tags (part of the HTML code that makes up your site), making sure none of the pages of your site have broken links or displaying incorrectly, ensuring your pages display correctly on mobile devices, and not putting large pop-up windows over the content of your site.

In addition, PayPal and Stripe don’t require a monthly fee or a contract, whereas traditional merchant accounts do. Thus, if you are just starting out in business, PayPal and/or Stripe are a good way to get a merchant account quickly and begin to take order payments quickly.
