Introduction

Live video is quickly becoming one of the most powerful methods of reaching people. Think about some of the major product releases you (or people you know) have been excited about in recent years. Maybe it was the newest iPhone or Macbook. Maybe it was a really cool I.M.

product that was hyped up.

Chances are, live video had a part in all the product’s hype. Apple does live streaming events on a regular basis. Why? Because they work! They make product announcements cool and fun, and people feel like they’re learning something before anyone else, because not everyone is able to watch the live event.

People can make comments and ask questions. Sometimes you’ll even learn more than your listeners!

In fact, many people are using live video in place of webinars, which is actually beneficial for many reasons, such as:

Live Video Marketing

Webinars usually limit the number of viewers to a relatively small number, while many live video platforms don’t have limits or have much larger viewer limits.

Many live video methods can promote your live stream for you, even to people who don’t follow you, something webinar platforms can’t do.

Most live video platforms are free, while webinar platforms usually charge you a one-time or monthly fee.

People are often more comfortable using Facebook or YouTube, whereas they may not want to download software or learn how to use a new website in order to attend a webinar.

There are many benefits to using live video over webinars!

In this guide, you’re going to learn some of the best ways to use live video to promote your own products and generate the kind of interest companies like Apple do!

So let’s begin.

Why Use Live Video?

In the introduction, we talked about how live video can be huge in generating buzz for a product launch, but that’s not the only use for it. There are several other ways live video can be beneficial to your business.

Let’s take a look at some of the ways you can use live video to bolster your business.

Generating Buzz

Obviously, live video is great for generating buzz. Apple reportedly had more than 20 million people tune in to watch their keynote address in the summer of 2014. 20 million! That’s absolutely astonishing, and you can imagine how much buzz it generated.

But you don’t have to be as big as Apple to make use of live video for generating buzz for product. Even if you don’t have a big list yourself, you can always promote your live event through partnerships and other methods. We’ll talk more about how to promote your live event in a later chapter.

Conducting Surveys & Research

Another great way to use live video is to conduct research. There’s no better way to get feedback than to ask people during a live broadcast, because people are more open to asking questions and giving their opinions during live broadcasts. This is probably because they see others doing so, which gives them the confidence to speak up themselves.

If you’ve tried doing surveys and didn’t get much in the way of results, this can be a great way to encourage people to give feedback.

Teaching Something

Teaching is another great way to use live video, because you can show people how to do something live, and then answer questions right away instead of fielding questions for days or weeks afterwards like you might if you just posted a video online.

That way, if you haven’t been clear enough about a particular step in the process, or you inadvertently left something out, people can let you know right away and you make changes.

Keeping Interest

Keeping interest is another great use for live video. If you have a list or a fan base on social media or some other platform, live events and streams can keep people interested in what you’re doing, what you have to offer, and who you are.

In this day and age, when thousands (even millions) of people are competing for the same eyeballs in certain genres, it pays to keep your audience interested. You want to keep all eyes focused on you as much as possible. People only have so much time to watch content online. Live streams are one way to ensure more people watch yours instead of someone else’s.

Replacing Webinars

Live Video Marketing

You can use live video to replace any kind of webinar you might think of, and you won’t be charged a fee for the privilege. Webinars can be quite costly, and they have viewership limits, but using a platform like YouTube or Facebook is free and they usually have no limits on viewers or have much larger limits than webinars.

Additionally, most people are already comfortable using Facebook or YouTube, but may be reluctant to download special software or learn how to use a new platform just to attend your webinar.

Live video makes a great replacement for webinars, and once you start doing live events, you may never hold another traditional webinar!

Live Video Platforms

There are many different platforms you can use to go live online. We’re going to concentrate on a handful of the most popular ones, because those have the most viewership and are generally the easiest to use. It really doesn’t matter which platform you use unless you already have a good sized following on one of them. In that case, it’s probably best to stick to the one that has the largest following.

Getting Rid of Bad Habits

Bad habits can get in the way of your success. For instance, if you pro-crastinate your work, you will always scramble to get it done by the deadline. Smoking can cause health problems and make it tougher to get your work completed. Eating the wrong foods can sap your energy levels and can also lead to eventual health problems.

Because we only have a set number of hours in a day, bad habits can block our ability to have good habits. This means you need to break the bad habits before you can take on good ones, in many cases.

Don’t try to quit all your bad habits at once. Be selective and choose the easiest ones first. Give it some time to convince yourself the habit is completely broken before moving onto the next. Don’t dwell on the fact that you got into that habit. As long as you take steps to break it, just move on. You’ll be better off.

Choose good habits over bad. This can be easier said than done, but, if you put some effort into it, you can make it happen.

Don’t beat yourself up if you revert to your old ways on occasion. It’s likely you have been doing those habits for years so they will creep up on you from time to time. It’s natural and you should pick up where you left off.

Some habits, like smoking, may need a bit of extra help in breaking them. You should discuss options with your doctor if it is health-related. Seek out alternative solutions such as therapy or hypnosis if you have tried to stop and cannot.

Concentrate on positive aspects of your life. This will help you realize that bad habits are getting in the way. If you want to run a marathon, but you smoke, this may give you the motivation that you need to stop. Once you begin training for the marathon, you will see that smoking is going to prevent you from meeting that goal. It is always easier to break habits when you have specific goals and those habits keep you from accomplish-ing them. When you reach those goals, you can feel good that you gave up the bad habits and accomplished the goals at the same time.

Making Affirmations Part of Your Success Routine

Some people pass off affirmations as nonsense. These people believe that saying positive statements about yourself will have no effect on your suc-cess. Often, these same people are ones stuck in a rut and wonder why they cannot get ahead in life. Affirmations work because they change the foundation of how you think.

You do have to believe in affirmations for them to work, however. If you are skeptical, and you just start repeating positive statements because somebody else told you it works, this may not get you far. Although, just the act of saying them can alter your brain patterns to take on more posi-tive thinking.

It does take practice and consistency. Don't expect to say a few positive statements for one day, and then expect to be transformed a few weeks later. The brain doesn't work that way. Besides, we have had a lifetime of negativity permeate our conscience that it's going to take more than a few sessions to break through.

Being skeptical will make it difficult to consistently use affirmations. This is especially true since they won’t start working until you have been prac-ticing them for a while. In our society of expectations for instant gratifi-cation, it’s simply easier to give up.

Start off your affirmations with simple statements. You could try, “I de-serve living a good life.” Or, you could make it even simpler by stating, “I am successful.” Sometimes, projecting what you want and acting as if it’s already happening can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you say you are successful, you will become successful by continually repeating this affirmation. If nothing else, ask yourself what can you lose? If it works, you have something you desire, i.e., a better life, etc. If it doesn’t, then you can continue living your life as you always had. But, do give it a try, and don’t give up too soon.

People find setting up a schedule for their affirmations works well for them. You will have to experiment to see if that works for you. There is no right or wrong answer. Sometimes, the hardest part is getting started. Pick two affirmations and use them for thirty days. Evaluate whether you feel different after consistently using these. If you still feel as though you haven’t changed, pick different affirmations for the next thirty days. Keep doing this until you feel positive changes are happening with your thoughts.

Steps to Break Through Your Fears

Our fears can be a big inhibitor of our success. We can have a fear of fail-ure, which causes us to never take risks. While not all risks are good, we have to take some to get ahead. There is also the fear of success, which can be even more debilitating because it tends to be subtle. When we get to the point where we are getting close to succeeding, we pull back out of fear of what lies ahead.

Sometimes, traumatic experiences can put up walls that keep us from succeeding. This is a difficult situation and can take a long time to over-come. Some people never get through it. Often, it’s because they don’t seek out some form of help. For some, simply talking to loved ones may work. For others, the trauma is so deep that they need professional help.

Most people fear the unknown. They have problems stepping outside their comfort zones because doing so exposes a part of them they may not be ready for. If you are offered a promotion at work, you may feel you are not ready. If this fear gets too strong, it can affect your ability to per-form well in the new job.

One way to break through your fears is to create a routine that includes the activities you fear. Remember when you first learned how to ride a bike. It may have taken you several tries. The concept is similar here. Set up a schedule for the activities you fear and give them a try. Allow your-self to fail as long as you give yourself permission to try it again the next day.

Talk to others who have gone through what you fear. Make it a routine to talk to different people. Ask them how they got through the fear. Most people will be glad to offer advice on how you can do the same. By setting up routines with the activities you fear, you start to break down your barriers within your mind. It is a process, and you will likely fail. When you get on a bike now, it’s second nature to ride it. This wasn’t always the case. You simply kept going with determination and what was difficult became easy over time. It’s the same with any fear. Keep working on it every day until it becomes second nature. After you master it, you will look back and wonder why you thought it was so diffi-cult.

Success Routines Begin with Belief

Before you set up any routines for success, you need to accept what you are doing and believe in yourself. For instance, if you are stuck in a dead-end job, and believe you should be doing something else, setting up rou-tines for success won’t help much. You need to evaluate whether you want to continue down that path or to seek alternatives.

Many people believe they have no choice and continue with their current situations. They feel their prospects are limited. Perhaps they didn’t go to college, or if they did, the degree they hold is no longer valid, etc. In most cases, however, the limiting beliefs are the only thing that is hold-ing them back.

This is especially the case with the internet. It’s never been easier to start a business online. Or, you can start a business helping offline and traditional businesses. You can train yourself in just about any subject. Creating a website can show potential customers you are serious about taking on this new business. This can be the answer to not having experi-ence.

Actively maintaining a website or blog can show potential employers your dedication towards your new career. So, even if you don’t want to start a new business, you can find a job in your new career by being proactive. Your blog becomes your proof of work. It also helps show yourself that you can do it, which strengthens your belief.

Once you have defined a new path, it will be much easier to come up with success routines to make it work. But, don’t do this alone. Read about others who have done what you are trying to accomplish. You can also find training modules online that can give you the right ways to get started. Many governments have divisions dedicated to helping citizens find work or create new businesses. There may even be funding available for you to tap into.

Self Publishing Personal Use Ebook

Introduction

The world of publishing has changed in major ways since 2010 when eBooks started becoming all the rage. Now anyone who’s always wanted to write and sell a book can. No more waiting to hear from publishers, only to get rejection letters, one after the other. Now you can make your dreams come true by self-publishing. The actual publishing itself is free. And there are many low-cost and free tools available that makes it affordable for anyone to self-publish their own books, both digital eBooks, and paperbacks.

One of the most important things for wannabe authors to understand; however, is that self-publishing requires more than just writing a quality book and uploading it to Kindle. The self-published author must also market and promote his work so that people can find it. When you publish traditionally, the publishing company does the marketing work for you. But, it’s tough to get a traditional publishing deal. Marketing and promoting your self-published book isn’t difficult, but it is an important part of the process if you want people to read your book.

You may write the most insightful or entertaining book ever. But if you don’t market it, only family and friends will read it. To be a selfpublished author who is making a living, or even a side income, from his books, you must be willing to be the creative brains, but also the business brains behind the book. There are several steps to self-publishing your work:

• Planning

• Writing/Editing

• Marketing

• Promoting

The self-published author will need to move back and forth through these steps. You may, for example, begin writing, but need to go back to the

planning stage if you decide to change the focus of one or more sections of the book. You will also need to work on marketing as you write the book. One example of this is creating a best-selling book cover for your book while still writing it. Yes, your book cover is considered marketing. In fact, it’s possibly the most important marketing you’ll do.

So as you can see, there’s a lot of learning to do before you self-publish your book. But, you can do it! Many people who believed their dream of becoming an author would forever stay a dream now boast of being a multiple book author—some of them even best-selling authors. And they started out just where you are now—wondering how possible it is to make their dream come true.

Why Self-Publish a Book

If so much goes into self-publishing, you may wonder why you should bother. Different people have different reasons for writing a book. Some of them have a great idea for a book, often a fiction book, and they have always wondered if they could really write and publish it. It could be a life-long dream. There are other reasons as well, and ones you may not have thought of.

Increase Authority—If you are a coach, online business owner, trainer or niche blogger, writing a book is a fabulous way to improve your perceived authority in your field. In our society, authors enjoy a high status. Writing a quality book automatically increases your authority in your field.

Grow your audience—Adding a book to your business model is just another way people can find you and the advice they seek.

Increase your income—A book is just another way to offer your expert advice to a wider audience who is looking for help. It gives you a way to help more people and bring in more income while you do it.

Create a career—Not a coach, online business owner or blogger yet? Or maybe you don’t want to do those things, but you want to share your knowledge or creativity with the world while making a good living at it. Many people are now making a full-time living writing and self-publishing books. If they can do it, so can you!

But What if I’m Not a Writer?

Many people want to write a book or even become an authorpreneur (an author who builds a profitable business out of his books—remember, selfpublished authors must be business-minded too). But they know or think they aren’t good enough writers. They might be fantastic storytellers. Or they have invaluable expertise in an area people are dying to find out about. But because they were only a so-so English student, they think they don’t have what it takes to be an author. What a shame!

Believe it or not, being a stellar writer isn’t the most important skill you need to have to be a successful self-published author! The content is what’s so important. Your main job is to put your invaluable advice or storytelling to work—get it on paper. Then, hire a top-notch editor to work out the details. They can smooth out the rough places, make it flow better and fix your grammar mistakes. That’s what they do for a living! All you need to be able to do is to get your knowledge down on paper and then hand it over to them to make it easy and enjoyable to read.

There’s also another way to go about becoming an author. You can hire a ghostwriter to do all the work for you. A ghostwriter will write the book with the details you provide. This is a better option for non-fiction than fiction, however. If you want to improve your authority and have an additional income stream by self-publishing a book, but don’t want to do any of the writing, consider hiring a ghostwriter. There are many places you can find quality ghostwriters if you decide to go that direction.

There’s no need for you to be an amazing writer to author a book! Approximately 80% of the population says they think they have a book in them. But how many of them will go for it? Are you one of that 80 %? Are you willing to learn what steps you should take to become a successful self-published author? You’re off to a great start by picking up this eBook. Here you are going to find out what you need to do to get started making your dream of becoming an author a reality!

Now that you’ve learned how self-publishing a book can improve your career, business, and life, let’s get started with the first stage of the process: Planning.

Planning your Book

Before you even get the first word down onto paper, you need to participate in some brainstorming, do some research and make some decisions. First, brainstorming.

Of course, the first step is to decide what topic you are going to write on. You may have some ideas, but you'll probably need to narrow them down before you start writing. This brainstorming will save you hours of time in the long run. I know you're anxious to get started writing your book, but trust me on this!

Let’s look at a couple of quick examples:

Example #1

Say you are a life coach and you want to write a book to improve your authority and increase the numbers of readers that come to your blog. There are a ton of different topics you could write on as a life coach.

10 Secrets of Highly Lucrative Video Marketing

I started to compile a bunch of stats to show you how popular video marketing is becoming.

And then I realized – the last thing you need are more stats about how video is taking over the internet.

The fact is, if you’re not using video yet, you’re losing customers, clients and revenue.

Consumers love video. They watch video. They ENJOY video.

They even enjoy video when the video is selling something, as long as the video still entertains and informs.

So how can you use more video in your business?

And how can you make those videos perform as well as possible in getting your viewers to take action?

Here are ten tips to get you started in the right direction:

1: Make your video is about the story, not about the sale.

Anyone can slap up a sales video and put it on YouTube. “Buy my product!” But will it get views? Not likely.

Instead, tell stories and deliver value. Let’s say you’re selling a course on how to do marketing for chiropractic offices.

It’s tempting to tell the viewer why your course rocks, why it’s exactly what they need, and how it’s only available for a limited time.

But what if you make a series of short videos, with each video providing one powerful marketing tip just for chiropractors?

I guarantee those videos will be watched and shared among the chiropractic community.

You’ll establish massive credibility. And of course you can politely refer them to your website at the end of each video.

These videos won’t sell your course for you.

But what they will do is make it far easier to get the sale.

Think of it as romancing the client…

First you take them out on a date or two or three…

And THEN you close the sale.

Your success rate will be much higher than if you try to close the sale while the two of you are still strangers.

2: Make the first 10 seconds the BEST 10 seconds ever

One stat says that 20% of viewers will click away from a video within the first 10 seconds.

Now you’ve got to ask yourself – why would they do that?

They came to watch something, yet they leave almost immediately.

There could be a few reasons:

• Your video doesn’t appear to be what they expected. If they are coming from a link that says, “Free iPad!” and your video is about growing organic veggies, you’re going to lose them. Continuity is key here.

• You have a long, boring, “Look at me!” intro. You’ve seen those intros where it’s 30 seconds of how great the company, video creator, brand or whatever is. The problem is, no one cares but the person who made the video. Lose the long intro.

• You dilly dally around. Taking the first minute of the video to finish setting up your recording equipment is a major no-no.

• You don’t start out with a bang. You want to get right to the meat of the subject by quickly introducing what’s happening and then making it happen.

Think about movies back in the 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s – they all had long boring intros filled with lots of credits and no action.

Now think about todays’ movies – from the first moment there is action; something that captures your attention and makes you want to stay tuned to find out what’s happening, why it’s happening and what’s going to happen next.

When it comes to writing fiction, teachers often tell their students to lop off the first page or two, because they’re usually full of long, boring intro stuff to set up the first scene. But when you lop that off and start with the action, BOOM – the reader is captivated.

Videos are the same way. Start with the good stuff and let it just get better form there.

3: Don’t be so serious.

Your video might be to inform and instruct, but that doesn’t mean you have to sound like a boring, stuffy college professor.

Find ways to inject fun and humor into your presentations. This doesn’t mean to inject knock-knock jokes that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Instead, find the humor in what you’re teaching or talking about. It’s always there, you just have to look for it.

Now I know that when you get in front of a camera, if you’re like most people you get nervous. And when you get nervous, you might not be able to find the humor in anything, except perhaps your own nervousness. Three things I can tell you – if you practice beforehand in front of a friend, you’ll be surprised at the funny things that come to mind. Go ahead and try your humor on your friend and listen to their feedback. They’ll tell you which ones parts and which to leave out.

Second, when you’re filming, continue to think of the camera as your friend. You’re just having a friendly conversation, regardless of whether it’s you on camera or you’re using slides.

Third, have fun. If you’re having fun then the viewer will likely have fun as well.

Marketing Lessons Taught By Psychopaths Giveaway Rights Ebook

Marketing Lessons Taught By Psychopaths

In my never ending search for ways to better appeal to my audience, I sometimes venture into the dark recesses of the human psyche so that I might better understand my customers and even myself.

I’m not picking on psychopaths here. Nor am I villainizing them. As I understand it, psychopaths are born the way they are – it’s not a choice.

A psychopath is generally someone who feels little or no real emotion, and instead has to fake it. They might lie a great deal. They have an inflated sense of self-worth. They use superficial charm and glibness to manipulate and con others. They lack remorse, guilt or empathy. And they constantly are in need of new stimulation.

About 1 out of 100 people are psychopaths. Odds are you know at least one, yet you might not realize it. Remember, most of them are not killers as the media might portray them.

But they can be incredibly charming and persuasive. Some psychopaths can find a person’s weak spot in minutes, manipulate that person using that knowledge, and actually make their target very happy and thankful to have been manipulated. I’ve seen psychopaths at work. They fake emotions and use the techniques I’m about to cover to make people like them almost instantly.

Have you ever met someone and almost instantly thought you had a lot in common with them? Maybe you did – or maybe they were a psychopath adept at making you feel that way.

Now then, for those with active imaginations, I’m not recommending you turn into a psychopath when it comes to your marketing endeavors. And I’m certainly not suggesting you manipulate your prospects into becoming customers, either.

What I am suggesting is two-fold:

First, we can learn about influence from those who are skilled at it – and psychopaths tend to be especially adept at influencing others.

Second, forewarned is forearmed, which is to say once you are aware of these manipulation techniques, you will be better able to recognize them when they are being used on you or even against you.

Flattery: This isn’t just compliments and buttering you up, although that’s a part of it. Psychopaths can hone in on your insecurities and then provide you with the reassurance you crave to make you feel better. This makes you like them, trust them, and follow their suggestions.

As Marketers we do a variation of this in sales letters, agitating the problem and making the prospect feel the pain of the problem before we offer the feel good solution.

Favors and Gifts: The psychopath will do you a favor or give you a gift you might not even want. But still, now you feel obligated when s/he asks you to do something for them.

We do this in marketing, don’t we? We give away things, and in turn folks feel obligated to take a good look at what we’re offering.

False Intimacy: They’ll pretend to be interested in everything about you – your hobbies and interests, the kinds of music you like, your job, your family and so forth. Then they’ll tell you fake secrets to create an even deeper intimacy, at which point you’ll reciprocate and tell secrets about yourself. This is how a psychopath can go from ‘stranger’ to ‘new best friend’ in one or two meetings.

Again, marketers use a variation of this in sales copy, by first showing how similar we are to the prospect. “I had the same problem you do, here’s my story with all my dark secrets, etc.” False Expectations: Psychopaths pretend things are already happening the way they want them to happen, before others even have a chance to think. So instead of asking, “Do you want to go to dinner?” They’ll simply say, “Let’s have dinner tonight, I’ll meet you at Harvey’s Grill at 8pm.” You’re not thinking IF you want to go to dinner, but instead you’re already making plans to meet him there.

Marketers and sales people alike will often ‘assume the sale’ to get the prospect to simply go along, rather than feeling like they have to ‘decide.’

Silent Treatment: Psychopaths will give random and unexpected silent treatments to throw you off. You might wonder if you did something wrong, and even try to make up for it with gifts or overt kindness. If you do, then the psychopath knows s/he’s got you wrapped around their finger.

In marketing, going silent is seldom going to pay. Out of sight is very quickly out of mind.
