Keep you blog as simple as you can, without sounding like you don’t have a complete grasp of your subject. You want to appeal to as many people as possible, and nothing will drive those newly interested in a subject away faster than lots of technical jargon and statistics. You can provide complex information, as long as you make the effort to put it in user-friendly terms.

Find a memorable name for your blog, and use your blog editing feature to post it in large, bold-face type. “My Hiking Blog” will probably sound interesting only to Mom and Dad and only because you never write or call them while you’re out adventuring. “Climbing through the Clouds” will appeal to those who either tackle the high places of the Earth, or want to.

Every so often, say, at the end of each month, archive your existing blog posts. Your blog editor will let you do this in a less than a minute. The entries will still be available for new blog readers who want to catch up, or those who want to reference your earlier writings. And list keywords for your archived work so that new traffic will be able to find its way to you.

You have to take additional steps.

Make sure it has enough engagement. Pay attention to how many people like photos that use a certain tag. Do people comment a lot? Is there quite a bit of excitement or activity regarding those tags? This highlights whether there is enough consumer passion or interest in a particular niche.

Now, just because a particular niche has a presence on Instagram, this, in and of itself, doesn't mean that you should market that niche because people might not be passionate enough to follow it. Finally, make sure that there is commercial value in your niche. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've come across marketers who just zero in on a niche that has a lot of activity. They think they've struck gold.

Well, it turns out that those people may be passionate about a particular range of subjects, but they would not pay money for products or services related to that niche. Don't get caught in a sad situation where you invest a tremendous amount of time, effort and money only to fail to monetize the niche that you targeted.

To work around this problem, get key words that are related to the niche that you are targeting and load it on Google's keyword planner. An Adwords account gives you access to Google keyword planner and plug in those keywords and you will see the CPC rate for those keywords.

This should tell you, in no uncertain terms, whether how much people would pay per click for those keywords. This gives you a pretty rough idea as to how commercial your niche is.

Now, you know that there is a tremendous amount of advertiser interest when people are willing to pay $5 or more per click. Now, you probably are looking at a fairly worthless niche if advertisers would, at best, pay only 25 cents per click.

Developing a written code of business ethics is most helpful when working to develop honesty.

Such a code will guide all decision making and actions. An individual’s reputation and track record for ethical behaviors and integrity are vital for establishing the trust that is the basis for all successful relationships that are held including those with customers, employees and the community.

The old adage of honesty being the best policy is most certainly true in all workplace situations. It allows for a more positive work environment and will help to retain customers and gain others.
